We used this hotel for 2 nights at the start and end of a trip to Andros. We liked its proximity to the port of Rafina and Athens Airport. It was good value for money and entirely in line with what we would expect, given what it cost. The room was perfectly adequate and the breakfast completely satisfying. We also found the staff to be extremely friendly.

We stayed in the hotel for one night to catch our flight the next morning. The staff was super helpful and the food in the restaurant was superb. Only negative was that the area is a bit rundown but that’s not the hotels fault.

Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out.
Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out. Good food and a small local shop. The hotel is around 40 minutes to Athens town, taxi's are between 35 to 40€. 48€ if you book through the hotel. Local bus is hourly but to get to Athens you'd need to change and then get a train. We only went into Athens for one day via taxi and crammed everything in. If you book a return taxi it's cheaper. Athens Site-seeing, markets and local shops are fabulous. We walked around Mati but it's in the suburbs so no site-seeing. but our holiday was to relax and Mati hotel was perfect for that. We'd go again.

We liked the pool and beach view from our room.
We liked the pool and beach view from our room. We liked the outdoor dining option overlooking the beautiful Aegean Sea and good waiter service. We really liked our early morning swim in the lovely warm sea, on our last day in Greece before the long flight back to Australia. That was a highlight. I would recommend Mati as a relaxing option outside of the hectic city centre of Athens. I wished we’d stayed there longer.

Mati is well located near the Athens Airport.
Mati is well located near the Athens Airport.
For arriving or leaving Greece a nice stop. Also if you want to avoid loosing days by travelling by boat or plane to all kind of holiday locations in Greece it is a nice alternative as the coast at Mati is nice and the views are the same as on many Greek Islands.
Use your money to rent a car and visit the Peloponesos and Athens at your doorstep.
Mati is a quiet and small village without many stores.

A newly built hotel situated a very clam & quiet area.
A newly built hotel situated a very clam & quiet area.
Hotel breakfast staff are really nice.
The gym is bit small and around the hotel very few activities as there only 2-3 restaurant and only one small shop available. Nearest supermarket is about 50min walk.
Also, if you don’t have a car then getting to Athens is not easy by using public transport as you have to take a bus and then underground. The bus service is not good as they don’t seem to run according to a particular timetable. Most of the time we had to wait 30-50min by the bus stop and then bus journey to nearest underground another 50min.

From the airport, it takes 20-25 min.
From the airport, it takes 20-25 min. Cost by taxi is €40, which should taken under consideration when booking for justba stopover. However, from the airport to Athens is €45-50 and very close 4* hotels seems not to be if checking via Booking.com
Kristen, the owner, is lovely and very helpful. The property is new and spotless clean, one of the best we ever stayed at in Greece. Bedding and towels smelled fresh and clean. Fully equipped kitchen and amazing patio garden. Pity we were there only for few hours overnight to catch an early plane, so we didn't get to explore the area or the beach. One amazing restaurant nearby. Very quiet being in a residential area surrounded by fields but 12mins away from the beach. We'll definitely go back if we happen to be in that area again.
First: very friendly reception, decent breakfast, clean rooms, cool vintage furniture in lobby. Not a fancy new hotel, but comfortable and not expensive. Second: we stayed here mainly because it is close to Rafina. Actually the taxi cost €12 from Miami Hotel to Rafina Port, but this was still less expensive than other hotels in Rafina anyway! So this was not a problem. We would gladly stay here again.
The initial check in was warm & friendly & my room was upgraded.
The room itself was beautiful, tastefully decorated & the view from the veranda was amazing, from the hills, all around the bay over to Evia.
I only had 1 meal but it was excellent, the waitress was wonderful, very attentive & helpful.
All in all a delightful stay I would not hesitate to recommend Mati Hotel.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent with a wonderful view of the sea. Impeccable cleaning. The food was excellent. The perfect location for those who want a calm holiday close to beaches, but also not too far from the center of Athens (around 50 minutes by car). The pool area is very pleasant, with plenty of space to sunbathe.
Beautiful beachfront hotel. Staff service was exceptional. Both Maria at reception who went above and beyond to accomodate our requests and Maria in the restaurant (yes, both Marias) who seemed to anticipate our needs. Both ladies were so warm and friendly.
Great hotel for our one night stopover in Athens. Wish we had longer with them!
New and modern hotel Infront of the sea close to Rafina Port and the international airport of Athens. Very clean with excellent service especially a big shout out to Peggy, the waitress in breakfast and Paris from the reception. Definitely i come back. Thank you for talking care of me.

Very relaxing place to stay before flying out from Athens. Nice pool and little beach. Delicious buffet dinner and breakfast. Kind staff. Clean rooms, spacious, sea view. Our 4-year-old son loved it and we had a relaxing time together.
Wonderful staff. Comfortable beds! A few restaurants nearby. View of the sea. Walking distance to water. 25-minute cab ride to the Athens Airport. Mini Market across the street. Affordable option when flying in/out of airport.
This is the third time we have stayed here. It is perfect for an overnight close to Athens airport.
Very comfortable and well maintained hotel. Quiet location. Very nice staff.
Easy parking in the roads close to the hotel.
This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel, it's a great spot to overnight when taking a flight out the next day. The pool, bar and restaurant make it very relaxing. Rooms are large and clean. Would recommend.
