The room was great for a 2 night stay, hostess was welcoming warm and friendly & took great care of us during our stay. The room was stylish, clean and modern with just enough facilities for a short stay. Everything working perfectly well and the place felt calm and relaxing. Lots of lovely bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. Not much public transport, but a fun train around town in the evening. A hilly area so not suitable for those with mobility problems. If you stay in the centre, the two closest beaches are a good 15-20 mins walk

Neos Marmaras was a really nice surprise for us. The city center is really great, you have a lot of places for shopping, really good tavernas/restaurants and it's a good place where you can relax after a day at the beach. The distance to the most popular beaches in Sithonia is between 30 mins - 1hour, so if you don't mind this, it's a great choice to have in mind for Sithonia.

It's a charming little town.
It's a charming little town. At the peak of the season it's too crowded. I think I would have liked it better in June when there aren't as many people. The streets are rather narrow, so when it's crowded you really notice it. The Sweet Home hotel I stayed in is a nice place, but I can't say that so a lot of other accomodation options I saw in the town center - at least by looking at them from outside. The Neos Marmaras beach is a better option than Paradisos beach in my opinion. You have a few beach bars to choose from. I stayed mostly at Anna Maria Beach Bar. The staff was nice, but the beach showers don't work, instead you can use a hose to wash yourself. On the plus side, the sea was beautiful, warm and really accessible. That's probably the reason why you'll see a lot of parents with small children. So, while I'm not blown away by the beach bars, I can say that the see itself is wonderful here. Another positive thing is the food. It's fantastic, and I ate in 8 different restaurants during my stay. I can say that all of them had tasty food options. You can see smalls ships in the marina, and by the docs and go on a small cruise. All in all, Neos Marmaras was a good experience, it's a lovely town but I don't think I would vise it again, simply because it's not for me. It's charming-looking, but rather steep to move around comfortably on foot, even worse by car because the streets are so narrow. I do recommend seeing it though, but try to find accommodation near the town center or beach and avoid the steel hills.AleksandraSerbia

We were in apartment number 9. Every recommendation for the apartment, cleanliness, service. The view of the sea, Neos Marmaras and Porto Karas from the beautiful terrace is especially amazing. The city beach is a 10-15 minutes easy walk along a landscaped promenade by the sea. Paradizo beach too, and there are a couple of small beaches nearby. Beach and sea water are clean, the manager Alexis and his team are great hotel staff, always there for any request or question you have, and make the atmosphere to feel safe there. To Kastro is small hotel ( 7 rooms only ) , but big with its “heart”. The “downtown” od Neos Marmaras is close, 15-20 min on foot. The room is spacious and a bit rustic, which gives a lovely charm.

The centre of Neos Marmaras is only a minute walk from the house. Our room was cleaned every 2nd day, if not daily, since most of the day we were at the beach only to return to a clean bathroom and floors, along with fresh towels. We also liked the meals schedule. We had access to good internet connection. In the evening we could use the sports playgrounds and borrow balls. There are huge pine trees on the beach, so you can easely avoid sun and there are also other beautiful beaches nearby and the town of Neos Marmaras, where you can buy lovely souvenirs.

We appreciate especially a man who was working in the hotel who gave us a lift to the city center for free when we were in rush for our bus. The room was overlooking the sea, the beach was just nearby and with crystal clear waters. The location was perfect to explore Sithonia. We received excellent recommendations from Eleni (our hospitable and helpful host) which beaches and restaurants are worth visiting. And last but not least, the room was cleaned every day, the sheets and towels were changed with clean as well. Thank you!
