The location is probably the best on the island: very close to the sea( beach front with the great sea view from all the rooms, as well as within walking distance from the city centre by the minor pavement up the hill.

I booked this amazing villa which is offered the epitome of sumptuousness living, with its fully equipped venues and stunning amenities. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the spacious and elegantly appointed interiors, provided ample room to unwind and indulge in comfort. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the private pool area, where I basked in the glorious sunshine while gazing out at the sparkling sea. It was the perfect spot to soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere and enjoy moments of pure relaxation. After a day of sun-soaked bliss, I retreated to the cozy bedrooms, where I enjoyed a restful night's sleep on the plush bedding. The value for money was exceptional, considering the unparalleled experience offered by Grand Villa Lino. I couldn't have asked for a better escape and can't wait to return for another unforgettable stay. 100% recommended to all!

καταπληκτικό ξενοδοχείο κ πολύ φιλόξενοι οικοδεσπότες.
The old town, or Chora. But you have to be mobile to access it on foot. Worth the effort. To get the best out of Skiros, a car is recommended. We had 'trouble' with a taxi driver coming from the port, but our hosts were upset on our behalf and personally took us back on our return ( via a deliberately longer route) so we saw mountain villages, churches and views we never would have known about. So kind.

Skiros has everything a traveller could want, except big disco's and party places. Other than that it has sun, surf, nature, food, food, food, really great people, no crowds, little or no traffic, and more great people. Did I mention the food? I think you get my drift. And the Anemos Seaside House is definitely one of a kind. Totally unique and absolutely fabulous.

There are very few reviews of this island.
There are very few reviews of this island. Most tourists are Greek except for in Atsitsa where you'll find many British and other nationalities due to the English-based wellness resort there (the reason I went there too).
I flew to Skyros from Athens, it seemed the best value and quickest way to get there (30 mins flight). Then took a taxi to my apartment - please prebook the taxi as its a tiny airport with no taxis readily available. I booked a random apartment based on how it looked with no idea of locations. Locals are super friendly, location ended up being close to perfect and within walking distance of the beach and the town centre (40 mins walk- sounds long but it's a part of the experience). Town centre is pretty amazing and definitely worth a visit with many small shops and restaurants, English spoken in most places and beautiful historical architecture. View in every direction is stunning.
Beaches will differ based on where you are - from sandy beaches to pebble beaches. I found the water to be a little cooler than I was hoping for but as the heat wave continued, the water heated up. I personally would rebook closer to the town centre as it gives you many more options of things to do, plus you have many beaches around you (Molos, Gyrismata etc). Atsitsa is probably the most beautiful place I've been to but its mostly pebble beaches. Be prepared to reserve money for cab rides as its hard to get around Skyros otherwise, unless you rent a car/bike. Trips from most parts of the island to the town centre costs around EU$30-40.
Overall, I'll definitely be back as it's not too touristy, has tons of character, friendly locals and amazing views.

The small port of Linaria is charming, clean, beautiful and it feels safe to walk around Delicious Greek food with friendly Greek staff abounds in the tavernas. I enjoyed watching families and children enjoying the port and eating, in this small yacht and fishing port. Staying at King Lykomides with beautiful rooms with beautiful views of the Linaria port and welcoming host Soula was the best! The arrival of the ferry in Linaria is complete with music and joy. There is a small beach about a ten minute walk from the port where you can rent umbrellas and lounge chair and eat at a family run taverna. Also you can take a taxi or rent a car to visit Magazia beach and the authentic old village town square. This was an authentic Greek island experience.

I've been a lot in Sardinia (Alghero, La Madelena, Olbia,...
I've been a lot in Sardinia (Alghero, La Madelena, Olbia, Baja Sardinia,...) because I love sea and beaches (most beautiful sea beaches in EU I think) and I've been also in Corfou, Creta, Rhodes.... But in Greece I think Skyros is truelly the best I've been and might even greater than Sardinia.
The island is beautiful with amazing beaches for all tastes, and beautiful spots. I think there is a perfect mix of rough-roots spots with locals, and more elaboraed and refined place such as Ammeoudia Beach Bars. The beach bars in Molos and anywhere are mostly really well done with amazing view, respectfully integrated, designed with charm and taste, with good food & fresh drink at a very fair prices. Also there a re beautifl spot to enjoy watching the the amazing views, and Skyros Old Town is well preserved with a lot of charm and style.
Mostly this location especially knowns by ahtenians is not too much touristic, which make everyones and especially locals at ease and laid-back.

Nice, quiet place.
Nice, quiet place. Not a lot of tourists in the middle of September. Excellent food in many places. Nice sea, strong winds (not suitable for swimming everyday). Skyros is famous for its ceramics, but we didn't see something new. There are lots of nice old churches, but most of them are locked. The Castle offers a marvelous view, while it takes some effort to climb to the top. The southern part of the island is a very interesting rocky mountain, with almost no people, just goats and rocks.
Traditional old house, converted for tourist use. The view is very nice, being just below the old monastery and castle to the top of the town! The location is in the heart of the original town! Access is easy using a car up to 50 meters from the entrance, but to get to the shops and the cafes, you can navigate the old, narrow, medieval, classic "Greek island style" backstreets!!! The mattresses and the beds in general, were exceptional!!! The fully equipped kitchen and the washing machine were welcome!
This is an exceptional and exquisite hotel, a great place to unwind. Run by two sisters, it newly opened in 2021, with superb architecture which mixes modern with classic. The rooms have high quality furniture and finishes. Breakfasts under the old olive and fig trees are lavish and lovely. The hotel plans to build a pier on the beach, which will be a great addition. The Molos beach with its numerous restaurants is nearby. Very highly recommended.
It’s one of the best place I’ve stayed in! The place looks so much better in person, it’s worth to book you won’t be disappointed! The warehouse is amazing at a great location we wished we stayed longer at the place. Iosifina and her father were very helpful and welcoming they were responsive at any given time when it comes to assisting us with our needs. When I come back to Skyros I definitely booking their place again!
I had the pleasure of staying at Nefeli Hotel and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The hotel is on a great spot in a superb and serene setting with breathtaking views and surrounding hills. My room was amazing, spacious, spotless and well-appointed, with many facilities for a great stay. I would love to stay here again next summer I'll visited the island! Thank you all you made may vacation super wonderful!
The host Marina was terrific from the beginning…
She met me on arrival & introduced me to my home for my week on Skyros…
It’s a 2 minute walk to the square in the middle of town,
It is cute, private and offers all the facilities your will want & need
I was happy here and felt I was part of the local community
You will not find a better place to experience the unique island of Skyros….
Thank you so much Marina
Spacious and luxury suites. Nice apartments with beautiful garden and a wonderful pool with a great view to Chora (main village of Skyros). Clean room with kitchen, big bathroom, air conditioning, TV and Wi-Fi. Great hospitality from Dimitris and Aggeliki. Perfect location, 2’ from Molos beach with many organized beach bars, great restaurants close by and a mini market. 8' from Chora (main village) by car.
Visited Skyros Ammos hotel and highly recommend it. Absolutely stunning view after sunset. The exterior and interior of the hotel is beautiful. Suite was simple perfect with nice decor. We ordered the a light meal at the poolside bar and an amazing cocktails. All was delicious and tasty. Our waiter he provided us with an excellent service. Overall the staff are fantastic! Would come back again!
Excellent location, literally next to the sandy beach of Molos with picturesque views to the mountain Kochylas. The room is clean and comfortable with a beautiful lounge area where you can stay for hours enjoying the cool breeze coming from the sea. The staff is very friendly and will give you useful tips on which places to visit on the island. We will definitely book again.
My stay at Nefeli Hotel in Skyros was an unforgettable experience. The suite was spacious and luxurious, with a beautiful balcony overlooking the pool. The room was beautifully decorated, with high-quality furniture and all the necessary amenities, including a comfortable bed. Whole venues were spotless. Reasonable prices too.
Amazing villa in Skyros offered us a serene ambiance. The private garden and free bicycles allowed for exploration. The reception staff provided valuable local insights. Although slightly distant from Aspous Beach, the villa's tranquility compensates. Reasonable pricing for a peaceful getaway. Will return for sure.
I enjoyed leisurely morning by the private pool, basking in the warm sunlight and taking in the breathtaking scenery. The villa's convenient location made it easy for me to explore the nearby beaches and attractions, while the kind owners ensured that every aspect of my stay was seamless. Highly recommended by me!
The location is just perfect, visiting Skyros every year we finally found the most conveniently located place, first of all, it's straight on the best beach in Magazia, close to very good taverna Stefanos and also within working distance to Skyros hora through the upward path, so we didn't use the car at all.
What an amazing location! Right on the beach with an incredible view, but actually the best part is the family that runs it. They picked me up from the airport and even drove me to the main town. They gave me lots of good tips and told me about skyrian culture. I really loved it!
We had a magnificent stay at Anemonisia Deluxe Apartments. Our room was very comfortable and exceptionally equipped. The hosts were amazing too; professional, friendly and helpful! They made our stay on the island one to remember.
The rooms are very nice and perfectly cleaned. Ammos is nicely spotted very close to the beach and a few minutes from skyros village. The staff is very kind and helpful. Totally recommend!
Very kind, helpful and friendly staff. Room was clean and big. Very comfortable bed.
The beach is located very close to the hotel. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available.
Very clean hotel, super staff!
The breakfast was delicious and generous and the location ideal, a few steps from the best beach on the island
I will definitely come back
