Stayed at Dorian Hotel over the Easter weekend.
A very beautiful, spacious studio.
Tastefully decorated.
Fully fitted kitchen.
Supplies of water, coffee and tea were very welcome as were the lovely Easter treats.
The studio was exceptionally clean and, to our surprise, cleaned daily.
A very comfortable bed and tremendous space in fitted wardrobes for clothes.
Bathroom a good size and shower was powerful.
Free pickup and transport from port but the distance to walk it is not so much so that was an added bonus.
But, best of all, our host Nikos.
A true gentleman who takes great pride, and rightly so, in both Dorian Hotel and his beautiful island of Symi. Nikos was very attentive to the needs of his guests and any communication to him before and during our stay was promptly replied to with the answer or clarification to the query.
The fact that he carried both sets of our luggage up and down those flights of stairs was beyond impressive 💪🏻 Superman!
And yes Nikos - WiFi was excellent too !!
I definitely highly recommend Dorian Hotel.
I hope to return to Symi again sometime and would absolutely aim to stay at this lovely establishment again.

The host was very helpful and responsible. She met us near the ferry and brought us to the apartment. She also offered us free pick-up early in the morning on the day of departure.
Perfect location and great view from the terrace. We will definitely stay here again.

Our suite was a lovely size with amazing views of Pedi beach from our large terrace. The welcome wine, water and chocolate were a lovely touch. Our hosts also picked us up and dropped us off at the port.
The location was perfect for us in Horio which is up the hill from the harbour area which gets busy everyday with day trippers from Rhodes. As such it was peaceful and not overcrowded. There were buses to avoid the 300+ steps from the harbour but we always took the steps as if you take your time it is doable in 10 - 15 minutes.
We'd recommend a day boat trip around the island with Poseidon. We went on a Monday and the trip included a stop at the Panormitis Monastery. It also included 3 other swim stops and a great bbq lunch.
We'd recommend The Secret Garden restaurant. Its off the beaten track and the food was amazing.

Everything was very good.
Everything was very good. The only problem was the meet and greet, which didn’t happen. We had to find the place ourselves and even when we got there they weren’t expecting us. Thank goodness the cleaner was there to let us in. Otherwise, all was good. Would definitely recommend this place, room 8.

Symi is very beautiful and there are some lovely restaurants along the harbour. We would recommend walking up to the lovely church on top of the hill that you can see from the harbour as the view is fantastic. The closest beach didnt seem to have much there so and was very small so we walked along the rugged coastline but it was very rocky to get down into the water! We walked to the village Chorio high up in the mountain where there is a pretty church and an amazing view of Symi. It was lovely to see mountain goats and see chickens along the rugged pathway. We wish we had stayed another day so we could have visited the Monastery.

Symi is a beautiful little island, with an abundance of shops and restaurants to browse and choose from. We stayed around the main harbour area and didn't feel the need to hire a car or take a bus anywhere. We were happy to relax on our balcony for the most part, read, drink coffee and people watch. We did venture to the walk to the small beach one day for a swim, which was lovely.

Symi is a most beautiful and friendly island.
Symi is a most beautiful and friendly island. Most people only come for the day but it has more than enough to offer for a much longer stay. I have now been three times (for a week) and have still not managed to visit the monastery! Perhaps next time...
A warm welcome awaited us after we arrived at Kokona's. She is the epitome of what a host should be :attentive, helpful and she gave us some great tips at the beginning of our first visit to Symi.
Check in was seamless.
The accommodation was simply superb: clean, tastefully decorated and supplied with the best of linen, towels and toiletries.
The breakfast was superb. Everything was freshly prepared, served with style and poise and Kokona offers delicious homemade cake and biscuits. What a treat!
Well done everyone. Gerard & Ethna.
The house was fantastic I spent a lot of the time on the balcony watching the comings and goings in the harbour, the view by day awesome by night treble it. All the little simple things provided by the host lady that i have never had any where else in many years of travelling greece. The hundred steps from the quayside are worth every single one. I haven't even started to mention the town which also gets the wow factor. Silly things I noticed no rubbish bins anywhere but no litter anywhere and no graffiti. Will I be back YES.
Our stay has been amazing: the location is perfect, few steps away from the sea front and quiet during night. We especially liked to spend the late afternoon or night sitting on the balcony, enjoying a drink with a wonderful view of Kastro (the upper part of Symi). We appreciated the cleanliness, and all the available facilities that make you truly feel at home. Not to mention the kindness of the host. We hope to come back here soon!
A fantastic location overlooking the sea and a stroll down to Emborio beach. Fofi and George are exceptional hosts making us feel so welcome. They picked us up and dropped us off from the ferry and helped us on a shopping trip. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The apartment is spotlessly clean and a fantastic food welcome pack on arrival. We travel frequently in Greece and this sums up the wonderful welcome we always receive.
Great location. Very easy to reach from the sea and by road with public bus from Symi. There is also free transfer from/to Symi town. Hotel is att the beach front with it's own facilities. Very good open buffet breakfast, nice restaurant. Clean, spacious room and bathroom..Super friendly and capable staff. We would especially like to thank miss Ourania Logotheti from the front office for her sweet and helpful attitude.
For the first time in Greece, and for the first time travelling solo, I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay.
The apartment is way better than you see in the pictures, is very clean and tidy. There was everything I needed to cook. The view is AMAZING. There was a welcome gift waiting for me and a water bottle in the fridge.
I was truly amazed. Super recommend and will definitely go back with my family.
Asymi is a perfect solution for a trip in the island. The rooms are big and clean, the staff is super nice and every request has been treated with care and attention. The breakfast terrace offer an incredible view of the sea. They have clean towels everyday to go the beach. The possibility to have a shower in a dedicated bathroom after the checkout is a very smart service to enjoy the last hours at the beach.
Plesner House is a real gem. The views and breeze from the terrace and into the top floor are spectacular, especially at sunset. It’s located at a quieter end of the harbor as well so you get a great nights sleep but aren’t too far from the shops and cafes. Great internet and terrace was perfect for working outside. Would be perfect for a writer or someone working remotely.
It is a spacious, super clean house with the most stunning view of Symi. Ms Sevasti is an excellent host and she will make you feel like visiting family. the house is above average equipped and you will find first supplies that most Hosts do not provide: breakfast, wine, cleaning products etc. highly recommended property. We will definitely visit again. Thank you!
The place was super nice, clean, comfortable, bed is amazing.location is good considering the island is very small and full of stairs, bus stop is next to the property.
We had a warm welcome from the host and he was 24/7 reachable for any questions and suggestions.
There is a small cafe downstairs and mini market on the corner.Great value for the money!
The interior design of the hotel and the attention to detail throughout the property was truly captivating. The location of the hotel was so convenient. Just couple of minutes to the central.
Big thanks to Dimitris for the great hospitality and tips about what to do/eat in Symi!
one of the best sitting out spots in Symi as it is nicely shaded. 60 steps up which is on the low side for Symi. communication is effective (through texting/booking.com) although the owner cannot speak English.
This place have the best location on Symi Island with Taverna during daytime and quiet nights.
Taxiboat during daytime or a Nice walk from Symi Harbor.
