Actually we reserved again, on the spot, for returning from Zakynthos.

Veria is a wonderful little town, full of history, great old historic district and beautiful authentic villages around it. It is a center of aromanian/vlach culture and well worth the trip.
Food is great and prices are reasonable.
Vergina tombs within cca 12 km - wonderful archeological site and new museum showing the splendour if ancient macedonian civilization, the world of Alexander the Great and his father PhilipII.

About everywhere in the city, many Byzantine churches, The Byzantine museum. The vue to the plaine from the Elias square, Café Elias had a nice filter coffee, the older buildings in tht neighbiurhood.
I had lunch in several restaurants in town : Beluga on Elias square, 14 and Ston Pappou, Ellesis,2 were classy ones, a little bit more expensive but there are some others like the Roma pizza restaurant, on Mitropoleos street15, see photo in my revue, on the main street from the Clock Tower square, nearby the hotel Kokino Spiti in the old Juïsh quarter, also the nice restaurant opposite Stasou Mygdala on the corner of Mitropoleos and Elefterias street, that one is a real treat for small dishes, mesedes called.
Veria is very easy to get arround.
I do not know what I would avoid on my next visit to Veria.

What a charming (and ancient) town Veria is.
What a charming (and ancient) town Veria is. Alexander the Great's father's tomb is very nearby (Vergina). Great restaurants (generous servings and cheap too, by modern day Greek standards). It was only by chance that I visited, but in future I will make an effort to stay here every time I pass-by...

Veria had a variety of things to see, including the Byzantine museum. History and culture. Lovely river and walkways. Great food. Close to the incredible Vergina tombs, a must-see. We stayed in the Jewish quarter, close to the river. Highly recommended as the best area. I imagine this city is often overlooked by tourists, but its worth a night or two.
I chose this place mostly based on price and being close to Vergina for the royal tombs and museum. Veria also has its own things, such as the historic city center with Byzantine churches, a place regarding Apostle Paul, and other things. The hotel was a boutique type, made from reconditioned old buildings in the old city center area overlooking a nice river. The balcony and window brought in the sound of rushing river water, which was nice. Truly a huge departure from the typical hotel.
We arrived late at the hotel after a delayed flight but the staff were ready for us and friendly and welcoming.
The room was comfortable and the wifi was fine.
Room and bathroom and common areas were spotless.
As we had a relatively early start we didn't get a chance to take advantage of facilities such as the pool, but breakfast was very good - a wide choice of food and eaten outside on a shady balcony with a fine view.
A good location for getting to the local sights.
The breakfast was satisfactory. The location of the apartment is really convenient as it is in the center of Veria ' cafeterias, shops and other facilities are really close-by. The room itself was really clean as well as the bathroom.
Overall the atmosphere of the area is really nice!
Christos is an amazing host , friendly and professional.
For anyone coming to Veria I can't recommend it enough!
10/10 Would definitely come again when visiting Veria!
This is definitely a mid-summer hotel - with a big open-air pool in the front of the hotel and on the edge of a small cliff (the hotel itself is located on a small plateau between this cliff and mountain behind), when the pool is open shall be a great feeling to look over the whole big valley, over the lake and villages until the far away mountains. This means I shall return here in the summer, when the pool will be open :)
Staff was excellent. Very polite, efficient, smiling and providing very good advice for visiting. Good choice for breakfast, in a very nice veranda. Good size room nicely decorated in a bit of old style of the area and bathroom. But the hotel is a bit dated and could do with an uplift. Large open parking and nice pool. Efficient A/C and Wi-Fi.
Perfectly located in the centre of town and very nicely equipped with good quality furnishings. We visited Veria as a base for the Royal Tombs at Vergina (they are great) but were pleasantly surprised by Veria itself - it has some great restaurants (especially Ap'Allou), a fantastic church with frescos and good museums.
Great staff and friendly owner. Well managed. Good breakfast and scenery. Clean and comfortable room and beds. The location is quiet. beautiful landscaoe natural surroundings. Conveniently located near Veria, the main town has many amenities and sightseeing features, museums, and rchaeological sites.
We stopped for one night in Veria, on our way to Parga and we found a magical, ancient, hidden City, full of life and good restaurants.
Veria Suite and his owner exceeded our expectations. Very central, modern, clean to perfection, enough place for 6 people. BEAUTIFUL!
The location is unbeatable. You are literally in the city. The rooms are spot on clean and we loved the temperature of it. Since I was born in this city originally i can understand the history behind this hotel. It was a pleasant two night stay.
We liked absolutely everything - and then some more. The hotel is a true boutique one, Michael was an incredible host , dreamy location and uniqueness in every detail. The only thing we regret was that the stay was too short!!
The location of the hotel near the river was ideal!! The staff was so kind and helpful for our local walks. There was enough parking area near the hotel!! Also, the breakfast was tasteful with enough options to choose from.
Staff very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable.
Room atmospheric, thoughtfully fitted and an overall delight.
Intimate nature of a very well-appointed small boutique hotel
