Many vendors cannot understand “no”and follow us everywhere we we go nagging and nagging and very annoying. One followed us to our hotel another followed us to the restaurant.
The market is not all that as Antigua has a market and Guatamala City has central market with equal products and food. I found out they charge more on Thursdays and Sundays because of the tourists.
The local restaurants quality of food is terrible.
We ate at San Juan and Las Brasas
Not worth going to Chichicastenango.

Very close to the market. Reception was simple and friendly. I paid 240Q. Easy to catch transportation in the city and away. VERY NOISY at night around the hotel. Comfortable and simple room. It's cold in Chichi at night! Lots of blankets available. 48 degrees in the morning!
This is a beautifully maintained old hotel located very close to the markets. We particularly liked the fireplace in our room that was lit on demand when the evenings got too cool. We ate in the hotel restaurant and while the menu is limited the food and service were excellent.
The room was beautiful. The staff provided plenty of drinking water and was very helpful in setting up transportation to lanquin. The hotel is feet away from the market. Breakfast was delicious and satisfying. I would definitely stay here again.
The open fire place was LOVELY: we truly enjoyed to be able to warm us up in cold Chichicastenango. Overall the place is lovely with a beautiful patio (and even a couple of parrots), but - when we were there - pretty much empty.
Beautiful historic grounds with charming rustic details and landscaping. Great convenient location near the market. Amazing view of the colorful cemetery. Staff was kind and helpful. Kids loved the birds in the courtyard.
Breakfast is not free but very nice. Miguel is a super nice host and showed me the nicest taqueria in town, 2 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Comfy place, super cute decorations. I felt welcome there.
This hotel is a monument worth a visit on its own. The rooms are decorated with real antique pieces. Breathtaking. A little bit like staying in a museum. Good value for money with perfect location.
More like an AirBnB than a hotel but the owner is friendly and helpful. The WiFi worked well and the room was clean and comfortable. Free filtered was available to refill a water bottle.
Restaurant at the hotel is excellent, breakfast was delicious. Rooms are new and beautiful and the park around the property is very peaceful. Nice hotel!
The hotel is very pretty and the room also. It had a great view of the mountains. I was glad that they had a restaurant when I was too tired to go out.
