The place is nice and very clean, with the room featuring effective air conditioning and a mosquito net. As mentioned in previous reviews, it is not a hotel, though. For example, no toiletries (other than hand soap) is provided and no housekeeping during your stay. Not a problem, but good to be aware of. And still very good value for money.
For various reasons, Casa Cacheu has no outside signage. But the friendly owner Nico will meet you outside when you call him.
The location near the presidential palace within a few minutes of the international Imperio and Royal hotels with their restaurants is a great plus, and very safe to walk (even at night) unlike in other West African capitals. No begging and no hustling, instead very friendly and peaceful people in Bissau.
