We stayed in the staff pick favorite room! Deluxe suite with a balcony. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we had a ferry to catch. The bed was really comfy, bathroom was clean, loved the shelving by the door. Bathrobes & slippers. 👍🏻 Great design with sitting area on the other side of the bedroom, each area sharing the tv wall. Loved the attention to environmentally friendly paper products and refillable soap dispensers instead of individual little bottles.

A hidden gem, hidden in one of Splits endless narrow streets, the beauty of this Unesco protected hotel is surpassed only by the amazing staff which make you feel at home from the very start. The fact that they share a 1700 year old wall with restaurant @storija.split only adds to the perfection of the location. Not only does Storija lay claim to the best wine menu in all of Croatia, but Chef Ivan Pažanin matches that list with a menu of his own creation.

Split is a historical place. You can see the history in all the streets. The archaeological museum is interesting, even though I would prefer more local artefacts. There are plenty things to do. You can visit the emperor's complex, hike the small hill and have panoramic view, walk along the seaside. I would recommend also to avoid summer months, as it was already crowdy in May.
Amazing a must visit. It’s genuinely a city for everyone. If you’re into adventure and want to do, there’s so much to do, if you want a relaxed, chilled time away, there’s so many opportunities for that. A friends holiday? Perfect, a couples getaway? Perfect. It’s suitable for all ages! Food is also great, only thing I would say is bring more money than you think, it can be a little expensive depending on what you want to try. We ate in some fairly pricy places ranging from 400 - 600kn per evening meal but you can pick up meals for half of that. Getting around, I was surprised that Uber is available in Split but it is but a lot of places are walking distance, it’s a beautiful walk along the Adriatic Sea so personally I chose to walk but cabs, buses and Uber are available as means to get around.
Fantastic place to visit. There is plenty of history within this town so there is lots to see and do. A lot of the focus is on Diocletian's Palace as the Old Town is within the palace walls. There is a lovely port with sea front restaurants and bars. Lovely little quant shops and restaurants lie within the cobbled streets of the Old Town. The restaurants all have a huge variety of food and drink available so you will be spoilt for choice. There are plenty of excursions and trips you can take from here - such as the Blue Lagoon and Krka National Park (both highly recommended). We were there for 4 days and it was the perfect amount of time to explore and even spent a day on the beach - however I would happily stay longer next time as I feel there is a lot more to be explored.
I liked everything about Split. The great experience started off with our hosts, Budi and Iva. Very lovely hosts, helpful and they remained available over the phone throughout our trip. Their son, Mario, is also a star, great chap. I would definitely stay in their apartment again. Right beside the apartment is the Marjan Forest Hill. This Hill is a must climb for anyone staying here. You will be out of breath when done, but you will be rewarded by buying yourself a nice dish from the restaurant that's conveniently situated at the top of the hill, Terrace Vildica. Beautiful, beautiful food. Diocletian’s Palace is also around 2 mins walk from where we stayed. You must ensure to spend a day here enjoying the history. Overall, Split is a wonderful place to visit. Very beautiful, very clean, extraordinary people, beautiful scenery, every restaurant is a goldmine of beautiful food (every restaurant and we ate in quite a few!) and very easy to get around. I have started making plans to visit again.
Split has an incredibly maintained / restored old town in a real city. Old town is rife with good food and Croatia has a vibrant culture proud of its history. Tours and ferries abound to beautiful nearby historic islands. National waterfall park is ridiculously beautiful (krka) about 1hr away by bus tour.
Stunning city. It has something for everyone -romantic, historical, nightlife, scenery, beaches, shopping - perfect for couples, friends or solo travel. Old town is more expencive and a bit of a rip off. There are plenty of authentic croatian spots outside of old town that are excellent value for money. There are ATMs EVERYWHERE But I recommend only using the ones attached to banks as their fees are much lower. Airport is maybe a 30 minute taxi ride away from the centre. Plenty of food options for everyone.
Split
Mira met us at the ferry, which was very helpful when arriving early evening. Showed us the "local knowledge" short cut across the railroad tracks to get to the apartment. She was very pleasant. Apartment in very good location for arriving by ferry or bus. Apartment is small but was fine for a 1 night stay. As we have found in Croatia, "Apartment" is a loose term when it comes to separate bedrooms, size... Apartment building secure with coded or key outside entrance door. Close to supermarket.
The apartment was spacious, comfy, very well equipped and tastefully decorated. It didn't feel like you lived in your grandma's house and had to live in a space full of junk no one uses anymore. It was close to the beach and the old town while in a quiet area. Supermarkets and a fresh produce vendor was close by. Ivona was super hospitable and friendly. We were even treated to homemade croatian apple pie, lemonade, beer in the fridge and coffee capsules. Would definitely stay there again!
Split
The room was spacious with plenty of outlets, a fridge in the room, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom well equipped. They also stocked tea which was wonderful. Their TV packages also had options for English stations in addition to Croatian and German. The location was good, although the walk back from the historic center is uphill. Their staff is very friendly and helpful, both in my questions leading up to our stay and when we needed to contact them while we were there.
We booked this hotel slightly from the centre as it had parking and it was one of the nicest hotels we stayed at whilst in Croatia. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with a small balcony. Although it didn't have any chairs so you could sit out there. Breakfast included hot and cold options which was a nice change to the continental breakfast you get elsewhere. It is only a short walk into the centre where you will find the restaurants and harbour.
Split
Location was ideal for both the Old Town and the beach. Our luggage did not make it to our Air Croatia connection from Frankfurt and was dropped off the following morning by a delivery company. Anna was excellent in assisting us with the delivery and took charge of the driver who failed to phone us with delivery notification 30 minutes prior. There is normally no reception at the property but Anna volunteered her mobile phone number as a contact. Greatly appreciated !!!
Split
The host’s father was an incredibly kind man who gave us the biggest welcome ever. He treat it us with desserts and tasty cherry wine made by him. Later he brought us the actual cured cherries to our room....in a few minutes he made us feel like real friends. The room itself was cozy and well designed in the old Croatian style. Had a private entrance from the street, quiet at night, secluded, very safe area, and great location.
easy self check in. fast responses from host. cute little patio! I didn’t use the kitchen but it seemed well stocked. and they had coffee and tea avaiblean! I loved the privacy curtain and extra shelves behind the bed. also the only hostel I staid in in Croatia that even had a common area and that was really nice! it’s hard when your bed is the only place to be. I’d def book again. also easy walk into the main center
My stay here in Split at Beach city pearls was just wonderful and Zeljana was one of the nicest people I met during my stay in Croatia. The location was the best part as I could walk to every destination I had planned on going in Split within about 10 minutes. There’s a wonderful restaurant called matoni just 5 minutes away and I ate there two nights out of my three there it was great:) the room is very clean!
Split
The host and her husband are very welcoming and explained everthing we need to know about the city and how to move about. Very friendly couple. Even helped us to print out our train tickets. The best apartment that we stayed in Croatia. The location is also extremely central whichever direction you want to go. Strongly recommended to any travellers looking for a place to stay in Split
Split
The warmest welcome in Croatia from Mario! Mario was an amazing host who went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. Location also very convenient; located in the old town but slightly away from the madness and crowds. The room was spotless and really tastefully designed, with a fridge, safe, comfy bed and great shower.
Split
The hotel was a quick 5 min walk into the city center, i am quite picky with my hotels and this hotel was a very big surprise. I give it a 10/10 for both the hotel itself and the staff. Probably one of the best places i have stayed overall in my life. Best choice for Split Croatia
My sister and I stayed here upon our arrival to Croatia. Andrea was a hilarious, charming and welcoming appearance and a wonderful welcome to the country. The hotel is gorgeous, staff so welcome, and could not be more perfectly situated. We will be back!
Split
Great location (walking distance to the harbour and old town), clean and beautiful apartment, comfortable bed (had the best sleep in Croatia so far!), kitchen, lovely hosts, and a beautiful gesture on arrival - bottle of white wine!
Split
Fantastic stay. The rooms are equipped with everything you will ever need. New spic and span rooms, excellent quality linnen, quilts - dont often see this is Croatia. Good location 5min walk from the old town
The hotel décor is amazing, rooms are very stylish . The staff is very helpful. The location of the hotel right in the centre of the old town . Fabulous cakes served at the restraint , lovely breakfast.
Everything. perhaps the highlight stay for our time in Croatia. Easily accessible, within the old town walls of Split. Great restaurant right below us. You can tell the host/owners really cared.
Close to the beach and quiet at night. Apartment had good air-conditioning and shutters which you need in the summer in Croatia.
Split
Host was very friendly, gave great re ommendations and showed us real Croatian hospitality!
Best hotel in Croatia
The hosts are very friendly, we got fruits and some liquor when we arrived and even got some cake during our stay! The apartment has everything one needs but is really tiny!!! For our 2 night stay was perfect, near the centre and with parking spots on the street. Recommendation: the restaurant Đir, 5 min away from the apartment!
