The only capital city in the world with a ski world cup race, Zagreb sits over 120 metres above sea level and boasts typical Central European architecture: cobbled streets, impressive public buildings and well laid out greenery.
Built around two medieval settlements with the Upper Town (Gornji Grad) being its core, the city skilfully combines modern attractions with well-established favourites. Start your day at the Museum of Contemporary Art, then have a stop at the Zagreb Cathedral or make a wish at the Old Town Gate. The locals say it will be granted!
For a more relaxing time, Zagreb features two lakes - Jarun and Bundek - both offering recreational facilities and hosting festivals and events. After having fun in the sun, you might want to hit the shopping at the colourful markets and small boutiques selling local crystal, ceramics and cravats.
To get a different perspective on the city, climb Medvenica, a mountain over 1000 metres tall overlooking Zagreb, and admire the views while sipping famous Croatian wine. And while you’re there, don’t forget to visit the Medvedgrad fortress.
Zagreb Airport is just 17 km and a short bus ride from the city. Whether you’re looking for an elegant hotel, classic apartment or cosy hostel, Booking.com has about 80 accommodation options for you to choose from!

Having been sent to Zagreb twice during the 1990s war I wanted to revisit a most beautiful city. No more! Litter strewn. Graffiti on just about all the buildings. Is not a city I'd recommend visiting. Very sad.

Visited this city in the low season and the atmosphere was so calm and silent to enjoy. Just love the people here are free to be themselves: casinos, sports gambling shops, tobacco and alcohol are always at the corners. This is a city with history and dignity.
Full of nature scenes around so you can plan your day trip to visit easily.
What a pity that the Cathedral of Zagreb was still under construction due to the earthquake. St. Mark's Church was not allowed to get close also.
I'm expecting another visit to Zagreb at Christmas time so I can join the Christmas market in Tunel Gric.

A lovely city to spend 24 hours which was all I had - enjoyed walking around and seeing the old city and learning about it. The trip was something of an initial exploration; Zagreb is on the list to visit again.

Zagreb used to be my favourite Christmas destination, but I would now recommend to you to visit it in warmer months as it has an amazing park Maximir for long walks as well as great hiking destinations around. I normally always try to see a musical in their Komedija, but I was unlucky to come on a Catholic holiday so most places were closed. I was a bit disappointed this year with their Christmas decorations as Zagreb usually excels at this. The stand disapointed this year with expensive and bad food and Chinese made ornaments. The prices are also through the roof since Croatia accepted Euro. I would still recommend Zagreb and a visit to the local market Dolac. Buy some home made cheese, sausages and enjoy sampling good food from restaurants around.

Pretty, picturesque city, not too big but perfect for walking to different locations. Ideal for a weekend getaway as 2-3 days are enough. It's small enough to not require public transport, if you want to stay in the central areas, but in case you need it, the trams are very convenient. When I visited many of their museums and churches were temporarily closed, which was a bit disappointing.
We stayed 3 nights at the hotel for a conference. Our room was simply gorgeous, at the 18th floor with a panoramic view and a bathtub next to our bed by the window. The bed was super comfortable and there were fresh towels and the room was perfectly clean every day. Personnel is friendly and accommodating. Some nice places to eat and have drinks nearby and the city centre is reachable. The pool on the rooftop was just the cherry on top. We really were impressed, complete value for money. Thank you!
Small boutique hotel about 10 mins drive from main railway station. Slick check in. We took 2 x Grand Luxury King Rooms; 103 and 104. Room 1003 was slightly larger than the other. Quality boutique feel, split mirrored main wall, silver grey tones, mini bar etc large walk in shower, all very clean. We had to leave at 6:15am to catch a train but they had prepared breakfast packs for us which were welcomed. Courteous staff. Great value for money. We would stay here again.
The place was really cute with a serene garden. Everything is as new, simple and elegant. Bed was comfortable, it was quiet in the room and the staff was friendly and accommodating. They helped us with everything we needed. Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about, but it was decent and the buffet had a plenty of choice for a small hotel.
We also liked the location as it was a 15 minutes walk or 3 tram stops from the city center.
The manager of the hotel is super friendly and welcoming. He helped me to get to the room, although I arrived at 9 pm. The room for one person was small, but nice, and I didn't expect anything luxury for that price (which is very affordable). The hotel's main advantage is that it is located just 10 minutes walk from the central bus station —very convenient if you travel by bus or go to/from the airport with a shuttle.
The hotel is not totally in the center, but you can walk to the old town in around 10 minutes. Although it is located it a broad street with lots of traffic, you hear very view of it in the room. Our sleep was not disturbed. The room was fantastic! It was very big, including the bathroom, had everything needed, a comfortable bed and a very nice interior design. No hotel in Croatia topped this afterwards.
The room was very comfortable: there was plenty of space and we were upgraded for free, the beds were very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The breakfast is good value for money at 8€ and very complete. We also dined at the hotel and the food was ok. The hotel is 1 km away from the city center but there is a tram stop close by and you can buy your ticket inside the tram, which is very convenient.
This hotel is amazing, worth every cent. Staff was very welcoming and kind, gave us useful info regarding what to do and visit in Zagreb. Room was spacious, beds were comfortable. Bathroom is spacious, shower was great.
There is nice parking space on the premises. Location is great, its near the city center but kind of hidden away and there isn't much crowd around the hotel.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing.
They llowed us earlycheck-in.
The hotel location is great near Tram Station 9, 12, and where it goes to direct to the city center (10min). On foot 30 min.
The groceries are near to the hotel.
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown.
Location is excellent, right in the pedestrian area in the city center.
Parking is available.
Breakfast is very good
Room spacious and bed very comfortable.
Bathroom big with all amenities.
Excellent price as well.
Very well explained how to reach the hotel and the parking.
One of the best hotels I ever stayed in.
The room was big and clean, and even though we had a pretty basic room we had a sofa, desk and king-sized bed (which was very comfortable). The bathroom was nice. A walking distance from the city center. The hotel’s pool was great - both large and well designed. It even had calming background music :)
The apartment is located in city center and within walking distance to everything I needed to visit. I love the small kitchen and working desk, it makes the space much more usable compared to a hotel room. Everything was clean. The owner responded immediately to a phone call when I had a question.
An excellent fit for those that like boutique hotels, as opposed to big hotels and hotel chains.
Great design and interior, the main city center is just a few minutes by foot away. Spacious and modern rooms with balconies overlooking the green garden
Definitely a place to visit again! Located in the city centre, yet no traffic noise. Staff extremely friendly, Lucia especially. The double bad was perfectly comfortable...all in one: one of the best hotels I visited in Zagreb.
easy to access from / to the airport
several nice restaurants around (including the hotel one's)
pretty high level of standard for breakfast
walking distance from the city centre (less than 30 min)
The hotel is conveniently located, about 20 minutes both from the airport and the city center, in a quiet area. The room was large and clean. In fact, the entire hotel felt that way.
Very modern and clean hotel in the city center. Breakfast buffet was excellent and included in the room rate
We also had dinner there on 2 nights! Excellent food for good value.
