Nice comfortable bed with nice furniture. One of the best bathrooms with a nice shelving unit to put things on. The shower was just a spout though and not shower head. A great location and managed some lovely walks up into the hills. Lots of footpatchs to explore. A lovely walk is to head up the road until reaching a sports pitch on your right. Follow road to end and turn left. keep going until reaching a short dirt path through trees. You come out on bend where left is signposted Dempaser and right to Amed. Keep going up and then there is a sign saying 'dangerous road'. Just follow it up till you reach the top. There is a sign on left saying, Tanabu and Great Views. Follow this and you will reach a small house with fanatstic views from a large flat area. If the owner is there he will welcome you and offer refreshments. I was then taken through his narrow kitchen and out the other side and had a fantastic tour of all the .lovely rice fields. Well worth seeing. Coming back, I deviated to the right, near the bottom of dangerous road and ended up going down to a track, which lead in through the top of the old city. There are plenty of other tracks to explore though.

Wonderful starting base for exploring quiet beaches,...
Wonderful starting base for exploring quiet beaches, waterfalls, forest. A visit to the oldest traditional village with traditional handicrafts was exceptional for me. Virgin Beach is one of the best beaches in Bali. Prices are much lower than in others tourist regions.

This is a sweet town.
This is a sweet town. We came here specifically to experience Nyepi day and the festivals leading upto Nyepi. Ogoh-Ogoh parade was awesome.
This is a sweet town out of the business of other places in Bali.

Its a small village, one street lined with Warungs, a main supermarket Gemini, two smaller Alfa Marts and tourist shops selling clothing, wooden goods and local Bali souvenirs. Crossing the road is a challenge as the road is a main route from West to East and vice versa. The lily ponds towards the East of the village are very pretty, with the rice fields at the western end of the village, other than dicing with the traffic by day its a quiet village with friendly locals. Most of the Warungs further away from accommodation will offer free pick up and drop off. We ate at Lu Putu, Le Zat, Kangaroo bar all with pick up and went to Bali Palms with pick up when the NO Nekos Band were playing. A trip to Amed and Virgin beach for snorkeling, Water and Floating Palace then relaxing massage with the calming sound of the sea at the resort! Oh and a trip to Monkey Bar with its amazing infinity pool, Buddha statue situated up in the hills!

Staying @ Ganesh Lodge was absolutely fantastic.
Staying @ Ganesh Lodge was absolutely fantastic. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty. My husband left his shoes behind and they went out of their way to return them. Can't recommend them highly enough absolutely fantastic.
Great quiet area, ideal to wind down after the busier areas of Bali. Hotel was first class, villa within meters of pool and beach. Large rooms, all emaculatly finished. Hotel restaurant had great breakfast and other meals, looking out over the sea. The area didn't have many shops, restaurants, atms, or money changers, but had enough and all within walking distance. The hotel had such a good vibe, all guests were happy to chat a little and share travel and life experiences.had a great spa.
We loved our Private Villa in this small resort - lovely location over looking the Lotus Pond .
Villa needs a bit of TLC
but the pool and outside private space makes up for it :
we came here to chill after a month travelling in Bali :
local area is very old school Bali and low key.
We hired a bike to explore and find local small places to hang out and explore :
Staff are chilled and helpful
good options and restaurant very good 😌
loved our stay 💯❤️
Amazing breakfast in my opinion the best in Bali. 9 or 10 breakfast options and everything is very beautiful and delicious. Very friendly staff. 2 minutes walk to the beach. The hotel organised a very exciting boat ride at dawn. There I saw glowing plankton. It was amazing. Special thanks to the gardener who takes care of the beautiful garden of the hotel, there are a lot of flowers.
The way this place was built with such nice and spacious little cottages. Surrounded by palm trees and grass. The pool is also such a highlight. The service by sweet people is also one of the best. They also do maintenance of the place every day. Seriously, people from other places in Bali need to try this place.
As a young couple, we spent 9 days at Dewa Bharata Bungalows Candidasa with our 2 years old baby girl and it was a truly wonderful time! The staff are very nice people, and we really appreciate all their kindness! Dewa Bharata is an exceptional place for the purest relaxation in Bali!
Nice super clean room. Excellent daily housekeeping. Very clean pool. Good laundry service on location and also a spa for massage. Wayan and his staff were fantastic and we're really understanding as I was not feeling very good. Good location. Right on the beach.
Good restaurant.
Next to the calmest waters in Bali and it has a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff is very nice and the location is next to an Indomart convenience store. The beach is just behind the hotel, so it's easy to get to and enjoy- do watch the first step as it is very steep!
Nice location, quiet area and easy access to facilities ( atm, shop, bali dance event, restaurant, spa).
The hosts were very friendly and the service were great. The villa was clean, the garden and pool were relaxing.
Good eggs and juice choices for breakfast.
This is our 3rd trip to Candidasa. previously stayed at Bali Santi bungalows and Sea breeze, but Nirwana wins hands down.
Staff are fantastic. The resort was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay. Frank and Kerry Mebourne Australia
Very spacious and elegant property. Has everything you need for a relaxing stay away from the more touristy locations in Bali. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Beach is close by, amazing seafood and snorkeling.
Everything here was beautiful…the room, the view from the balcony, the restaurant. The staff were lovely too, always helpful and kind.
The hotel is close to Virgin Beach, a gorgeous white sand beach.
We loved our room that was large and comfy and had beautiful views that we did not tire of. The staff were extremely honest and very friendly. Candidasa is like Bali of old.
The location is incredible, with the closest you'll get to a private white sand beach in Bali, and the grounds are immaculately landscaped and very spacious.
