Downtown Bantry has many places of interest and is typical of an Irish village. Every Friday there is a market on the main square. It has all the amenities a person needs. A number of good pubs and restaurants. The food at the Brick Oven is really good. Very friendly people. The Connection has all the high-tech equipment a traveler might need.

I liked that we were in a rural area but close to everything. We enjoyed horseback riding, hiking on Sheep's Head, the pubs, restaurants, and shopping. There was an excellent Italian restaurant with great pizza. The butcher was excellent, and we enjoyed shopping at SuperValu.

Bantry is an excellent base for exploring West Cork and beyond. It remains a traditional old-style rural town full of shops and pubs, locally named. Not very touristy. There's a sense of Irish history about it. It has a a very good Tourist Office and a fine new main square. A very good day to be there is a Friday, market day...excellent for every kind of locally made & grown produce. Bantry grows on you, especially the natural friendly warmth of its people. So, stay a while.

This was, by far, one of the best places we stayed. Lots of room and everything you'll need is there. Majella and Pat are the most friendly people you'll ever meet. We checked in pretty late and left pretty early. There were a few small items for breakfast. The small washer and dryer were perfectly timed during our vacation. Excellent choice for accommodations. Definitely recommend. Also, Millie was an added bonus!
The Dromcloc House was like stepping into a time when niceties were still important. The breakfast table was set beautifully and the breakfast was delicious. The building is old but has everything and I could open my window and take in fresh air and the beautiful scenery. If you don't mind a climb you can walk down to the beach and have a swim.
We stayed in the Bantry Bay for one night and it was a great stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful, while both our dinner and breakfast were fabulous. I would highly recommend anyone even passing by to stop there for food!
Only negative was the shower was scalding hot and could not be lowered, uncomfortable during a heatwave!
This is a great house, very clean and beautifully decorated. Lovely views of the bay from the back and the kids loved the bunks. Only problem we had was the internet and phone signal, but don't get me wrong it didn't spoil our trip one bit, we had a great time and totally recommend.
Friendly host. Answers questions fast. Our late arrival was no problem.
We had a stunning sunset over the bay. Definitely worth facing the narrow roads.
Bed did creak but was very comfortable.
shared bathroom is more then sufficient.
This a very beautiful house. Our room was lovely too & clean. Breakfast was great. I loved that we had some fresh fruit. Our host took such good care of us at breakfast. The property is very pretty & there some goats here too.
Beautiful, spacious suite for a family. The location right on the harbor was gorgeous. It was very easy to walk into town or explore the area. Modern facilities. The pool was beautiful! Lots of activities for kids and the family.
The host, Mary, is a pure delight. Very helpful and kind. The house was bigger than I expected, spotless. The location is gorgeous and convenient to Bantry and Glengarriff. 10/10.
The family suite was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel was really clean.
Staff were polite and friendly. Location is excellent due to it's proximity to Bantry Town.
Kevin is a super proprietor of an excellent B&B. Relaxed , genuine welcome. Great value too. Situated in the heart of Bantry overlooking the water. First class.
