After a frazzled couple of days of driving, what surprised us most was the immediate calm we felt upon entering Castle Hackett. The room was big and beautiful, the beds were crisp and comfortable, and the shower was the perfect temperature. The children were delighted with the cows in the adjoining fields.
Breakfast the next day was serene with the smell of the turf fire, the gentle lull of Irish music and the perfectly cooked breakfast.
Did I mention the beautiful views of rolling fields, the interesting history of the building itself, the library filled with books, comfy chairs and board games or the looped forest walk leading to a castle ruin on your doorstep?
Above all the warmth of Joyce and Aidan's hospitality was the highlight of our visit.

The property was lovely, clean, comfortable and had its own parking space. It was 5 minutes walk to Tuam Town Centre with a leisure centre, shops, cafes and pubs and 20 minutes to Galway City.

We enjoyed most aspects of this hotel. Free, convenient parking. Fresh & clean modern rooms with good facilities. Bright and spacious lobby. The quiet reading areas were a nice touch. The staff were very professional, efficient and friendly. The room was good value for money for a family of 4.
