By far this is Bunbeg, Gweedore good old fashioned your at yir Aunties Irish hospitality at its vert finest, the host family the Campbells were outstanding and made you feel right at home. Ive stayed in many a place all over the world but nothing, nothing compares to this. spotlessly clean Irish family home and a hearty full Irish breakfast awaits in the morn too, its also a family run business and its non stop on the go for the Campbell family, but they always have time for a great wee blether. Ill be back again many more times. Joe O'Donnell nephew of Mickey, Jimmy and Dennis O'Donnell from near Sara Dans bit.

The last time I stayed in Bunbeg was 12 years ago and it has become very run down with quite a few places closed but this would also be impacted by the restrictions etc due to Covid. It's fine if you want to get away from it all.

This region has stunning coastal scenery and inland the rocky moorland is a great walking area.
Be prepared for bad weather. It is not called the “Wild Atlantic Coast” for nothing.
The Donegal airport has been voted the most scenic landing approach in the world.

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for our recent stay at Teac Campbell Guesthouse in Donegal. Our experience was truly exceptional, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay in this area.
The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the exceptional hospitality I received from the hosts. Their friendliness, warmth, and genuine care for their guests were truly remarkable. They made me feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as enjoyable as possible.
We had a lovely stay at Martina’s cottage. The cottage was very presentable throughout and had everything we needed for a short stay. Lots of nice touches including fresh bread, treats and cupcakes from the bakery which we really appreciated! The cottage was exceptionally clean and a lovely space outside with a barbecue to enjoy the great weather we had. The location is rural but convenient and an excellent base if wanting to explore Gweedore and Mount Errigal/local beaches.
This was a great place to stay, nestled in Bunbeg Harbour. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. There were no restaurants nearby but they did offer to drive us (we walked about 20 minutes). We had a very special evening of music at a nearby pub (10 minutes away), ‘Teach Hiudi Beag’ that was the highlight of our bicycle tour through Ireland (5 1/2 weeks). Check it out if you are in the area; they play Monday and Friday.
The location is spectacular, situated literally among the sand dunes of Bunbeg Beach, you have views of “Bad Eddie” shipwreck right across to Carrickfinn and the surrounding coast. My kids just had to walk from the apartment a few steps and onto the beach. You are 5mins walking distance from Bunbeg with it’s shops and cafes. The surrounding area also has many beautiful walks to enjoy. This is a gem of spot!
The location was a great first stop after landing at the Donegal airport. The hosts were so kind, and we were offered tea and biscuits on arrival in the afternoon. Breakfast is delicious, everyone went out of the way to make sure you're well fed. It's walking distance to Teac Huidai Beag where we went for the Monday night trad session. This was a highlight of our whole trip for sure.
The location of this lodge is excellent, it is close to Gweedore and other neighbouring towns.
Host was very friendly and even gave us a lift to the wedding we were attending.
The host lives beside the lodge although we did not need to make contact it was good to have them there the views from the lodge are breathtaking, I would recommend and would certainly go back.
Very friendly staff. Recommended we book in for dinner as they get quite busy. Dinner was tasty. The rooms are basic. Not sure the price paid reflects the room. It's a bit dated & lacked cohesion in the interior decoration (that's just my trained eye!). Room was comfortable. Breakfast was tasty but basic. It's a small hotel, well run, friendly staff & comfortable.
We spent four nights at Hazel View Apartment and we were overwhelmed by the size, outfit and hospitality from Angela. We felt like home. Kitchen was equipped perfectly and there was plenty of information and tipps for tours and restaurants. We enjoyed the quit. Good location for touring Donegal.
Unfortunately we can’t give more than 10 points.
Great place to stay in Bunbeg. The house is worth a visit in itself and the room has everything you need as well, including a fantastic view to the sea. Also, could not have been treated better by the family running the guesthouse. They did everything and more to help us and make us feel at home while visiting this nice little town.
The location is lovely, situated right on the harbour a minutes drive from Bunbeg village. Beautiful sunset in Bunbeg. The room and hotel is a bit dated (wouldnt turn me off), the food and service was excellent. Had dinner in "Leos", home to Clannad which was lovely in these Covid times.
The staff was very personable, the bar/restaurant was warm, cozy, personable. The location overlooked the city and water. Wonderful to find this amazing place in a special part of Ireland.
location excellent nice and tranquil location.Breakfast full of flavour. The room spacious and cosy.
Not forgetting Jean and Andy excellent hosts. Highly recommend a visit to Bunbeg House
I like the location right on the water and the proximity to pubs in Gweedore. The breakfast room was also quite nice, with a view of the water. There was also a bar in the evening.
Comfortable bed, view from the window, amazing food and last but not least hospitality and kindness. we had issue with the car and received help from Guesthouse.
The location of the Old Boathouse was perfect! Beautiful views out over the harbour and within walking distance of local bar and cafe with delicious food.
