Smooth check in from the friendly staff.
Smooth check in from the friendly staff. Asked for our two rooms to be on low floor, quiet & one for someone with mobility issues. All of these were as requested. Rooms were MASSIVE! Beds super comfy, rooms & bathroom spotlessly clean. Bottled water, tea, coffee, biscuits, hairdryer, safe, iron and ironing board in all rooms!!! Plenty of storage for clothes and suitcases. Ate at the Bia & Co restaurant in the hotel and have to say the staff were very attentive and helpful with choosing food. The food was exceptional, very reasonably priced and the desert the best I've ever had! Bravo to the chef! The live entertain was awesome! We had an amazing night singing our hearts out. The bar staff and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast did not disappoint! A huge selection of cooked breakfast items, hot and delicious. Again tge staff were very attentive bringing us copious amounts of tea & coffee. Check out was smooth and again friendly staff on reception. There is a gym and pool at the hotel too but unfortunately didn't use it but the pool looked very inviting. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Claregalway Hotel & will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing stay!

We have stayed here loads over the last 18;years never had a bad word to say about this hotel till now reception staff were not 1 bit friendly and made me to feel like a stranger , when my details should all have been in their system , also asked to pay up front ! I’ve never had this done before , bar staff were very young and in experienced , lady on reception for the dining was exceptional , hopefully this hotel will go back to its old ways of welcoming its former guests ,

We stayed in the hotel for one night.
We stayed in the hotel for one night. We were upgraded to the presidential suite which was a wonderful surprise as I was celebrating my graduation. The room was very spacious, comfortable and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. My gluten free full Irish breakfast was excellent. There was also gluten free muffins, scones, bread and a selection of cereal. I was very impressed overall and look forward to staying again.
This place is amazing. The history and the effort put into restoring the castle are worth it alone. Our host, Gerry, was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process, from booking the best rooms for our needs and helping with our itinerary, preparing the dining area for a great breakfast, booking tours, suggesting places to eat and he took us on a tour through the castle and the stone works shop. Our three nights at Claregalway Castle of our ten night vacation in Ireland were the highlight of the trip!
This is a Wow! factor property.
Located not far from Galway, we enjoyed three nights at Claregalway Castle.
Our host was fantastic and made sure our stay was all that it could be. Our room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the breakfast generous.
But even more, staying in the restored Castle with all its history was phenomenal.
Our host gave us access to view the ballroom, the tower and other parts of the Castle, where we could learn more about its history.
The castle was absolutely beautiful! Our room had everything we needed. Breakfast was good. However, it was the staff that really made it special. We were lucky enough to get a spontaneous tour of the castle and grounds from Phillip, and it was excellent! Phillip was very knowledgeable about the property, and just a pleasure to chat with. We would absolutely stay here again, given the chance!
The hotel is stylish and the staff are friendly. Food is good. The complimentary fitness suite and spa are a great touch. You do need a swimming cap if you have long hair and using the pool.
It has a bus stop outside so travel is pretty straightforward. We got a bus from knock airport here & back again. We also went to Tuam and Galway using the bus.
I would absolutely stay here again.
The castle tower and the farmhouse was from the 1400 and has been very well restored! There is so much history in the hotel! The rooms are not in the tower but on the newer building around the premise. The place is vast and our rooms were facing east, we were greeted by the morning sunlight! Beds were comfortable and toilet were clean!
The staff Dione and his team were warm and welcoming. I loved the feeling of being at home in the Castle. The accommodation was clean and neat. Views were beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely return to stay at the Claregalway Castle
Steam room, sauna provided relief for disabled person in our party who was in pain from traveling. Pool was a nice treat at the end of a long day. Easy walk to groceries, cafe, church. Clean hotel. Friendly staff.
I really enjoyed my stay at ClareGalway Hotel. The staff were really nice and helpful. Our rooms were really clean and the hotel was really clean and nice to stay in. Will recommend!
Comfortable bed, beautiful manor building and decor, great continental breakfast with huge fresh blackberries, gracious host in John. We stayed 2 nights and truly enjoyed our visit.
Hotel was clean, staff were very helpful. Location was great and close by to the city. The leisure facilities were excellent.
Will definitely stay in this hotel again if in Galway.
The pool was great and the staff were mostly friendly. The food was lovely could do with a bit more choice but what was on the menu was lovely.the rooms were large and very clean
