Plenty of excellent restaurants in Clifden from mid-price to expensive. Great coffee and snacks available at very reasonable prices. Good shopping and excellent craft/art/souvenir shops in the town. There is so much to see.
There is so much to see. I'm a walker and we were able to access many great walks - mountain, sea and forest walks. We had a car to get to locations. Good location for exploring Connemara. Fabulous scenery. Plenty places to eat in the evenings.

Well I couldnt fault Clifden it has everything tourists need especially friendship any establishment we went to people were very helpful and courteous we will definitely go back again as it was our first stay in Clifden

Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink. There is a very well stocked supermarket in the town and the surroundings were very clean and well maintained. Getting a local taxi was a bit of a problem so we had to drive everywhere, which didn't allow us to have a drink in the town as our accommadation was about 3 miles outside the village.Patrick

Did not expect to have a stay as half as good as this while driving down the West coast, nevermind for as reasonable a price as it was. Room had extra pillows/towels already stocked if they were needed, and a Nespresso machine and well stocked box of teas/coffees. Full Irish well cooked, plenty of tea and toast/coffee and cereals etc. Servers were friendly and polite and service was prompt. The hotel is excellently located in the town centre of Clifden and public car parking is available on the street outside and is free between 7pm and 9am. Rooms are basic but shower pressure was good.
