I had personal reasons for visiting.

I had personal reasons for visiting. Its a town that could do with some serious investment. It looks like the Government of Ireland is beginning to deal with this. I look forward to seeing the result.

The lace museum is worth a visit.

The lace museum is worth a visit. The town has an interesting history but you have to work hard to find it. We were there in off season, so there may be more visible visitor assistance during the summer. If not, encouraging business owners and staff to promote what the town has to offer, without having to be asked, would be a definite plus.
