Imperial Hotel Cork City, hotel in Cork

Located in the heart of Cork city, The Imperial Hotel is less than a minute’s walk from Cork’s main shopping district restaurants and nightlife. It boasts air-conditioned rooms and Escape Spa.

Lovely room with a large, comfortable bed. Extra touches such as a minibar with complimentary drinks and customised chocolate were nice. I was very impressed with the segregated bin for recycling as I feel it is a must. The management clearly cares about guests' needs and strives to provide everything you might need during your stay. The staff were very friendly and considerate.

The Kingsley Hotel, hotel in Cork

On the South Bank of the River Lee in Cork, The Kingsley Hotel features a luxury, organic Spa, a modern health club and an indoor pool.

We loved the size and comfort of the bed, we had a lovely sleep here. The staff were lovely and helpful throughout our stay Underground car part was a bonus especially because there was a storm while we were there so we didn't have to get soaked! The room was a good size. The Rituals products were a bonus in the room and these were fully topped up each day. We loved the outdoor pool, this provided relaxation and tranquility. There were jets in the pool outside.

Maryborough Hotel & Spa, hotel in Cork

Set in 14 acres of 300-year-old listed gardens, Maryborough Hotel & Spa boasts elegant rooms with bathrobes, a luxurious spa, and an AA Rosette restaurant.

Exceptional staff. One of the front of house/cleaning staff noticed I was overladen with bags and offered to help take them to our room. There was a welcome half bottle of Prosecco in our room welcoming us. The bar staff were accommodating to our late arrival and ensured we could get some dinner just before the kitchen closed. The bar manager went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and did not feel rushed. The reception found me somewhere to sit and work with a plug socket. Absolutely outstanding customer service at all levels.

FAQs about hotels in Cork

Irish Spirit In A Nutshell

Situated on the banks of the River Lee, Cork’s city centre was originally built on marshes and many of its popular streets are constructed on the former river channels. With a thriving nightlife and a vibrant cultural scene, the Irish Republic’s second biggest city is full of surprises.

Those interested in history should pay a visit to the Cork City Gaol, an old prison transformed into one of the city’s most fascinating attractions, or join the Cork Historic Walking Tours, which offer a great opportunity to learn all the city’s secrets.

For those craving more lively entertainment, the city offers the famous Cork City Pub Crawl or even more exciting, the Barrack Street Challenge, where participants drink pints of beer in all bars along Barrack Street.

The shopping area is concentrated around the most famous street - St. Patrick Street. For local food specialities like crubeens, tripe and drisheen, browse bars and restaurants around MacCurtain, Washington and Oliver Plunkett Streets.

When flying to Cork Airport, you’re just a short taxi or bus ride from the lively city centre. Don’t worry about accommodation; Booking.com has plenty on offer, from convenient hotels, to cosy guest houses and bed & breakfasts.

Cork itself does not offer much, but can be a good starting point for the Wild Atlantic Way adventures. IF you are traveling with a car. Traveling by train & public busses does not bring you to the coast etc. The City Gaol is nice to visit, good shopping options including the English market. Skipped the Blarney Castle due to high cost. So next time probably driving with a rental car, but then a stay outside a city is also an option. Very good variety of restaurants.

Great genealogy and family history day was held at the Cork County Archives. Very friendly staff and excellent speakers. I did not know this was an annual event that they held there and I would recommend it to anyone interested in genealogy. It was well attended and I understand it will be repeated next Thursday 18th April such was the demand for seats. I hope to return to the archives for research and to attend their annual family history day.

    The city was great.

The city was great. Lots of shops and places to visit nearby. There are many hills so bear in mind if your about travelling. The Old City Goal is up a huge hill so Taxi there and walk back (downhill) Taxis are cheap enough to use but some of them are cheeky with the prices. The weather was good for our stay but remember to take an umbrella as it often rains unexpectedly.

Amazing Customer Services, they called me before arriving to the property to offer a taxi service to Cork city centre. Every staff member was super friendly and accommodating. Room was in better conditions than the picture on the webpage, I will super recommend this hotel for any stay in Cork, area was lovely and quiet. This hotel was an ABSOLUTE DUMP FILTHY DIRTY AND RUN DOWN --- Its like something from 1985 The Glossy Photos on Booking.com do not do its justice and its very misleading i wasnt expecting much from this hotel but we did pay €220 for 1 night - This hotel is a great example of RIP off Ireland - Absolute disgrace how this even passes health and safety regulations

Compared to other hotels during our trip around Ireland, this one was like a factory. Plenty of people in every place, cue to the reception. However, it was modern, rooms of reasonable size, clean. Our room had a river view, so very pleasant. Underground parking, good location.
