The Hotel was very central for everything and has an olde world charm making it different from all the other modern hotels with identical room pods! It was the run up to Christmas so there was loads of atmosphere. Buskers, choirs and street acts. Good restaurants and pubs. Plenty of shops to browse in. Lots of theatres and museums to visit if desired. We were there on business and leisure and are very familiar with Dublin.
I planned a trip to Dublin for a special adventure for my five-year-old granddaughter, along with her mother, my daughter. Our itinerary was based on the interests of a young child, We stayed at Drury Court Hotel in city center upon arrival and loved walking out the door to endless pubs serving delicious food. I had fish chowder five times - each better than the previous bowl. Also, we enjoyed our close proximity to so many sites on our list. Taxis were inexpensive and we had the added bonus of friendly, jovial taxi drivers. Our final night was spent at Clontarf Castle-Hotel for my five-year-old granddaughter to experience her princess fantasy. I brought tiaras for her, her mother and me although the latter two of us only wore ours in our room. Clontarf is a magnificent castle Hotel and I recommend at least a night there for families traveling with girls. We used our day at Clontarf to go to Howth, a sea coast village and beautiful area. Aside from seeing some of the traditional sights, we focused on child-centered activities including the Viking Splash Tour, River Liffey tour, Viking-Medieval Interactive museum, High Tea at the Shelbourne Hotel, candy decorating and factory tour, Grafton Street (often), and our favorite, the Celtic Music and Dance show. The dinner was quite good and the show outstanding. Our trip was fun and free of the stress that I feel on guided tours. I made advance reservations for the hotels and must-do venues like the Celtic dance show, tea at the Shelbourne, etc. Otherwise, we winged it and the five-year-old loved Dublin!
The city is great, the people are welcoming, the weather was comfortable: neither hot nor cold. Getting around the city is comfy, too. But we prefer walking. The sights of the city and its history and architecture are unique. I wish I could have stayed there longer
A beautiful city with well maintained gardens, and great care of its cultural heritage. The Irish pubs and cuisine is great and the city caters to meals from all corners of the word- mediterranean, middle east, India as well as far east. Its a great place to walk around and spend time in the gardens which are beautiful. The Book of Kell in Trinity College, Dublin castle and the history of Jameson and Guiness are amazing stories to experience. The drive in through the beautiful country side to Cliff of Moher will remember etched in my mind for a long time.
The people in Dublin were excellent. Always helpful, happy and cheerful. The food is not that good a wider choice of breakfast meals for example would be nice. Overall a great place to spend a few days.
Dublin is an interesting city with a fascinating history and current cultural mix. Restaurants and pub kife abound. Recommend the GPO history and Dublinier experience. The Michael Collins grave at Glasneven Cemetery reflects the high esteem this revolutionary first leader of Free Ireland is held in. A great modern city with wonderful history.
The hotel is in a great location with the docks of Dublin right in front. It’s about a 20min walk from the city centre and temple bar. We were visiting Dublin as there was a concert at Croke Park, only having to walk 30mins. The Mayson itself is slick, modern with a very stylish theme to the rooms. The rooms had a comfy big bed, a fridge and the bathroom was exceptional with one of the best showers I’ve used at a hotel. The Mayson is a great spot to see all the attractions, drink in all the pubs and eat in all the restaurants.
Dublin
The reservation staff, breakfast staff & cleaning staff were all great.....very friendly, professional, extremely helpful, flexible, knowledgeable......my list goes on & on! The location of the Gardiner Lodge is perfect for those who want to do walking in the centre city. Quiet & comfortable rooms! The National Botanical Gardens of Ireland, just outside of Dublin in Glasnevin, were spectacular!!!
Dublin
Room was fine, located outside of the crowds of downtown Dublin. Grab the hop on bus near Merrion square that’s a short walk away or grab a taxi to take you there. Pauli’s is a great ecclectic Italian restaurant that’s much more than pizza nearby as is the cute breakfast spot a few minutes by foot. Visit the Brazen Head, touted as Ireland’s oldest pub. It’s not walkable but it has lots of atmosphere.
Albany House was so close to the center of the city and right next to a beautiful park. It was our first time in the city and we were able to walk everywhere right from the hotel. The staff was incredible and so friendly. They made our stay very warm and welcoming; and the breakfast was amazing! Will stay again next time in Ireland!
The hotel is ideally situated right in the centre of Dublin City, it's a short walk or luas ride to the city centre where there is an abundance of bars and restaurants to choose from. The hotel itself is wonderfully decorated and has a really retro feel! They also have a gorgeous outdoor heated pool which was a lovely surprise
The rooms are beautiful and so comfy. The staff are super friendly, especially Alex who has just recently started. He couldn't do enough to help, he's an asset to the hotel! We've stayed a few times and have already booked our next trip. Location is perfect also, close to all that dublin city centre has to offer
The Trinity Hotel location is very very central to Dublin city centre and is within a five walking distance of Trinity College Dublin. There is the option of using rail transport within a short ten minute walk at Pearse Station Westland Row or across the river at Connolly Station Amiens Street. Luas line and buses nearby.
I actually loved it all. The hotel is big, the staff working there extremely helpful and friendly and nice. Does everything to make you happy. The room was huge and I had a terrace. Is in the city centre so everything is around. Will definitely come back. Thank you, you were amazing...was a pleasure to stay
Location amazing.. No more central hotel in Dublin. Staff super friendly. New breakfast area since I last stayed which is absolutely stunning. Staff were super friendly. Only negative room was very very small, spotless and shower was fantastic. Overall ideal for 1 night stay in Dublin City centre.
the location was good, very convenient and close to all main attractions. it s really easy to walk around Dublin City center. the overall hotel decoration is super nice and modern, the staff was also very friendly, we definitely recommend this hotel.
Love this hotel and stay in it anytime possible when in Dublin. Very friendly staff from start to finish, excellent location a short stroll from city centre, spotlessly clean. Amazing breakfast and good deals can be got here from time to time.
Lovely hotel and facilities, friendly staff and close to Dublin City centre. Was only there for an overnight stay but will be returning for a longer time next time I come to Dublin! Very nice continental breakfast too! Would highly recommend.
the location was a little bit far from de city centre as we expected, but Dublin is not a big city, walking you can reach all the city center places. Breakfast was good. A little bit unnorganized when was full, but acceptable
Great hotel! Would recommend a stay here if you are looking for somewhere affordable close to Dublin City Centre. Was better than expected! Was great that you could leave your bags too before and after check in/out.
Dublin
Abbey Court Hostel was in an excellent location in the main part of Dublin. The food for breakfast was better than any hostel that I had stayed in around Ireland. The kitchen was large. I love the beautiful murals!
Great location, clean, comfortable, good breakfast and a friendly staff. And decent water pressure in the shower which seems to be an issue at other hotels in Ireland. What more do you need?
The hotel was clean and comfortable and well located for the city centre and the docklands area. The evening meal in the adjoining pub was good and not too expensive by Dublin standards
Dublin
Guest house with a great location in Dublin's City Centre. It comes equipped with a very friendly staff and several communal spaces to meet fellow travelers.
Excellent atmosphere and location is amazing. Rooms felt a tiny bit outdated but still extremely clean and comfortable
For the price, this hotel is superb. It is a little walking distance from city centre, but there is a tram line right in front of the hotel that will bring you directly to O'Connell Street. Definitely would consider staying here again.
