Sean is a wonderful host. We felt at home straight away. Gorgeous food and possibly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in.

When we arrived we found that thee was no power in the property, but unknown to us the owner had sent me a couple of emails informing me of the situation, the room he gave us was nice with a private balcony , it was clean if a bit dated , bed was comfortable, breakfast was good with all the bits and pieces you would expect to be there , there .
A quiet village in the heart of the Wicklow mountains.
A quiet village in the heart of the Wicklow mountains. Close to Rathdrum, Avondale (which we visited for the Above the Trees walk). It's not too far from Glendalough and very close to Avoca - Meeting of the Waters. Ideal for an overnight stay.

Fine Irish breakfast.
Just one point to mention for dinner you need to drive a few kilometres further , there is one restaurant (from hotel) in the neighbourhood but have not always free table due to reservation of hotel guests .

I want to go back.
I want to go back. A wonderful old house in the country, not far from Aughrim. Beautiful countryside, amazing views from the house. The house is immaculate and interesting. Svetlana and Jeff have loved this house and it shows. Everything is chic, unique and amazing. This is not a hotel it is a piece of history and is so comfortable. I am going back in the summer to lounge on the deck and watch the sunset over the wicklow mountains.

We went to BrookLodge and Macreddin for a wedding so didn’t explore much of the surrounding area, but from the drive in, it looked beautiful.. once at the hotel we found that to be as equally as beautiful

Aughrim lovingly maintains its status as a beautiful Tidy...
Aughrim lovingly maintains its status as a beautiful Tidy Town. It is also friendly and provides all of the basics. More dining options are not far away in and around Arklow on the sea. The walks in and near the village are stunning, and run the gamut of difficulty.
Martin has an amazing set up, he was an amazing host and very welcoming. The pods were so cozy and comfortable. The view is amazing. It was a lovely spot for a night away. There are kitchen facilities there and communal shower/toilet facilities. There is only one but don’t let that set you back. Very secure and safe place. Will definitely be staying again in the future! Just to note if you’re staying for a little break away there is no food delivery in Aughrim! Be prepared to drive 5 minutes back to the town. Thank you Martin.
Nice location proximate to the Wicklow Mountains, where we enjoyed hiking. Our hosts were very helpful and accommodated our preference to change rooms at check in. While staying here, we accessed hikes at Glendalough and Lugnaquilla - very scenic! The lodging is part of a working farm and we were delighted to see the new lambs in the adjacent fields. Breakfast was very good with French press coffee and a full traditional Irish breakfast among the options.
The room was very spacious and the bathroom was lovely. We had a great breakfast in the morning with time slots for different guests, which was very Covid aware. The grounds were great to explore too. The hotel advertises itself as dog friendly, which is true as they have three dogs themselves. I like dogs but this hotel might not be for people who have a fear of dogs.
My favourite hotel...we got married here 4 years ago and we can never get enough of the place.
Breakfast is always lovely with plenty of room in the dining area.
Dinner at the Strawberry Tree is second to none.
As we were leaving we saw two deer on the hotel grounds roaming around it's just amazing!
Set in the stunning Wicklow countryside. We were among the first visitors after the lifting of Covid restrictions and so not all facilities were available. The couple who run Clone House were friendly and helpful and I would recommend it to anyone. I think we'll be back when its fully operational.
Exceptionally clean and comfortable room. Very friendly hosts. Nice breakfast. Set in a beautiful location near the Wicklow mountains. There is a lovely old ruined church beside the B & B. Aughrim is a short 5 minute drive away or about a 30 minute walk along a nice country road.
Aughrim is a picturesque and peaceful village close to nature in the heart of the Wicklow mountains. The hotel has a long history but despite being 'old' the shower and facilities were up-to-date and functioning. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.
Such a beautiful and peaceful setting for a night away. Loads of options for dining and a few drinks around the hotel grounds.
The processes which have been implemented for Covid made us feel safe, while not making us feel restricted which was great.
I’ve been here many times.
We love the grounds of the hotel.
staff are so friendly & helpful.
Spa & jacuzzi are lovely
staff moved our table to the area I wanted from been at the hotel before
fridge left in room was requested.
Beautiful & peaceful surroundings. The buildings and grounds are gorgeous from the outside
The bedroom was a great size, the bar and restaurants were cosy. The spa was average.
The food in both restaurants was great but....
Catherine was a lovely house manager and is a credit to Trident. She had info for us on local amenities and showed us around the house. The nearby lake was a lovely feature and Aughrim is a lovely village.
We were in aughrim for a wedding.Friends found the meath arms and told us so we booked it.It was a great choice .The staff were brillant and it was very clean. We would differently stay there again.
