Haven’t been to Galway for a long time. It was our least favourite town of our travels in Ireland. It is quite run down and the town lacks character. There are much better towns around we thought such as Westport.
Beautiful part of Ireland .Well worth a visit. The city is vibrant with lots of restaurants and shops to suit all tastes and budgets.Friendly and helpful locals all contribute to Galway being a great place to spend time in.
The Italian Quarter is a fabulous mix of bars and restaurants buzzing with activity and happy customers. A great atmosphere and fun. We were only there on a stopover on the way to Shannon so we didn't see so much of the town but we liked what we did see and could have stayed a lot longer.
Galway City is clean, spacious and lively and vibrant. It has shops, historic attractions in abundance and is a city of culture and music. There are multitudinous places to eat. Your stay will always be too short.
Liked the tour to Cliffs of Moher, Aran island and wild Atlantic coastal route. Didn’t like the traffic into and out of Galway city center. With two universities it’s a bustling city with lots to do. A visit to the King’s Head bistro/ pub is a must!
Galway is a cute town with lots to do. The latin quarter is fabulous. It's very easy to get around via bus. Lots of small businesses which is nice. The promenade is a perfect walk. Definitely a walkable town wear comfortable shoes. Galway is known as the town of festivals, always has something going on
Lovely place, 20min walk from city centre, big carpark with an EV charger, spacious reception and main hall. Rooms were ready an hour earlier than check in time which was a nice surprise after long travel from Dublin. Double room quite simple with queen size bed, table, chairs and desk but that's all we needed. It was spacious, clean & quiet, walls are well insolated so there was no disturbing noise. We had a lunch booked and all meals were delicious. Unfortunately haven't got a chance to check the fitness facilities.
Great value, great hotel! It is a bit of an older hotel but it’s beautifully kept and very comfortable and clean. Our room was spacious and elegant, the beds very comfortable and the bathroom clean. We even had great water pressure and the most powerful hair dryer ever. The staff is super friendly and the location is great - right next to the train station, coach station and right beside city center. and make sure to try the bar downstairs!
Galway
The best stay in Ireland so far. Better than some 4 star hotels in Dublin. The check-in and out were smooth and easy, the room has exceeded our expectations. Very clean, with a big shower and nice mini fridge and coffee serving. It also seemed like it was recently refurbished or brand new.
One of the very best hotels I have had the privilege of staying at, I would highly recommend The Hardiman Hotel to people who live in Ireland or are travelling from abroad. The staff, the rooms and food were all 1st class 🍀🇮🇪
The Dean is well located in Galway for the city centre. The staff were extremely helpful & friendly. The rooms were quiet & comfortable & bathrooms well designed & finished with a very welcome walk in shower.
We were in the middle of a 2 week tour of Ireland. The Menlo Park was a great mid-point place to rest. we loved the restaurant in the hotel & the wait staff was excellent & the food was great.
