It was disastrous, my wife decided to go down the town for a walk around as she was walking she noticed foreigners watching her every move and they then started to pair up and follow her, she felt so threatened that she had to go into spar shop and wait for me to collect her. Would never visit there again.

Kinsale is a fantastic town for a weekend away.
Kinsale is a fantastic town for a weekend away. There are several excellent restaurants where you will have unforgettable experiences. The Black Pig and Finns Farmcut are amazing. Breakfast can be hit or miss, The Lemon Leaf and OHK were excellent. If the weather allows the walk out to Charles Fort is lovely, with a pint of Murphy’s at the Bulmans. The views at the Old Head of Kinsale are breathtaking, and Garretstown Beach is stunning. The tour and tasting at Kinsale Mead is fascinating and a unique highlight. Be careful choosing where to stay, as standards are not reflected by star ratings, and the centre can be noisy. Parking is challenging with two hour max at the central car park, better at SuperValu but you’ll need to move your car overnight.

We arrived later in the evening but were welcomed wonderfully. If you drive to the hotel, know that parking is only what you find on the street. Our room was lovely and spacious and the bathroom was nice.
There isn't an elevator available so if you are on the 3rd floor like we were, be prepared to pull your bags up the stairs.
Be sure to book a paid breakfast with your room reservation. It was soooo good and one of the best meals we had in 2 weeks. A good breakfast gave us the energy to tackle a busy day.
Kinsale is a lovely town and even mid-week on a foggy fall day, we loved walking around.

Kinsale is a picturesque hilly harbourside town with great shops and restaurants. We had beautiful weather enjoyed walking around the town and took the harbor cruise. There were lots of good restaurants (a few require reservations way ahead), lively pubs, and various take-away food options. We stayed 2 nights, but only had 1 full day to explore the town. The roads into town are extremely steep & narrow, so we were happy to be able to park once at our guest house and not drive again till we left. Taxis are almost impossible to find. We ate at Fishy Fishy (had reservations months ahead) our first night and at the Blue Haven Restaurant & Bistro the second night. The live music was great. We heard great things about the Ghost Tour, but didn't have time for that. Parking can be an issue so make sure your guesthouse/hotel has parking. Stop at the Tourism office for great suggestions.

It is a beautiful village on a bay with an old-world charm.
It is a beautiful village on a bay with an old-world charm. It can be quite busy as it is rightly popular. Lots of local shops, pubs and restaurants, all with an authentic feel. Beside the harbour, their are two marinas, two castle ruins and a lovely beach. It is also near the beginning of the Wild Atlantic Way which runs clockwise round the west coats of Ireland. 25 minutes from Cork airport, this place is a real gem
we had a lovely room. Mauve is wonderful. The location is perfect to walk to all the shops and many good restaurants. The breakfast is the best I’ve had so far in Ireland. It’s a full Irish breakfast with great fruits cheeses meats bread marmalade and jam. It was great to have a nice on-site parking lot. It was also great to park because the tiny streets of Kinsale are pretty scary. I would highly recommend and if we ever return We will come back to Blind gate house.
The location was pretty close to downtown Kinsale and the views were fantastic! The room was spacious, as well as the bathroom and the fact that it had a tub was a huge plus for me. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with helping with transportation in and out of town. The grounds were huge and had some nice walking trails. The restaurant and bar were great.
One of the best Irish breakfasts I ever had in a hotel. The dinner in the evening was excellent. Both the bar and the restaurant where busy both nights that we stayed and the staff where very friendly and cheerful with everyone. Shower in room was very good and the bed very comfortable.
A pleasant hotel to stay in. Would be happy to return sometime in the future.
This townhouse is one of the best I have stayed in, the staff were very friendly and informative when we arrived. There is a free carpark right across the road from it. the room was amazing with a very comfortable bed and the facilities were immaculate. It's located right in the middle of Kinsale with walking distance to everywhere, Would definitely stay again
The location is fantastic for exploring Kinsale and the hotel is right by the water.
Room was very clean and house keeping came every day during our stay.
Nice breakfast and staff at breakfast were friendly.
Although there is no pool/spa at the hotel we were able to use the pool/jacuzzi at Actons hotel with no issue, which is a very short walk away.
Hotel was in an excellent location and we found parking space for our motorbikes just outside. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and the Nespresso coffee machine with free capsules was a great way to start the day. We had breakfast in the hotel which was of a high standard.
The breakfast was by far the best we had in Ireland. So many options including well prepared fruits, adventurous grains and creamy yogurts. I mean even the toast was wonderful! The staff was great as well. The room felt very luxurious and the location allowed us to walk to everything.
Beautiful harbour view from hotel bedroom. The Bedrooom was spacious and clean with very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast offering with equally prompt staff service. Staff service for all areas of the hotel was top class. Overall, a very impressive stay and I'll be back !
The room was quite cozy and comfortable, but quite small as one would expect in a European city. Bathroom was very clean. Coffee machine worked great, room was quiet, staff was friendly but not overly so. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel so I can't comment on that.
Excellent stay, the best we had during our vacations in Ireland. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable in a very convenient location, the lady at the reception was very sweet and the breakfast was delicious! Many thanks for having us!
breakfast everyday was good. early morning coffee, however, requires a trip around the block or down the street. bar area is good. dinner options were adequate, and especially appreciated that dinner on a Monday night was available at the hotel.
Extremely clean rooms (normally carpet on the floor leads to my allergies acting up, but this was not the case here) and friendly staff. The breakfast was about the best we had in Ireland as well. The house was nice with cosy sitting areas.
In the end we stayed at the Blue Haven Hotel (a sister-hotel) due to maintenance at the Old Bank Town House where the hotel staff was very friendly and nice. They made sure we had a great time there as well.
The location is excellent....right in the middle of shopping and restaurants.....and its host was wonderful. She recommended two of the best restaurants that we enjoyed in Ireland.
The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. One of the best showers I’ve taken in Ireland was at the Trident Hotel! Great water pressure.
