Homely feel with fantastic food, and the owner even waited for us till late as we got caught in the rain on our motorbikes.

Situated in the heart of Doolin and established in 2019, Fiddle + Bow Hotel is a boutique hotel with a range of room options. We will be your home away from home.

Loved the location. The Fiddle and Bow had a nice historic feeling about it which we had been looking for on our visit to Ireland
This country house hotel has a quiet location, looking out over the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands and Galway Bay. It has free parking, luxury rooms and an award-winning restaurant.

Built in the Georgian period in 1736, Aran View Country House stands on a hill on the coast road and commands one of the finest views of the wild Clare coastline.

Beautiful building, gorgeous property, large room that was very comfortable. I was extremely pleased with my decision to stay at Aran View Country House, and was especially pleased considering that I booked the room just the night before.

We would have stayed in Doolin if we would have known there wasn’t traditional music as advertised at our hotel. It was the whole reason we stayed there and the music was in Doolin, not Lisdoonvarna.
The tourist economy is extremely competitive. Tourists want to see quaint and experience attractions in the short time they are traveling through a community. It’s expensive for a city to provide those kinds of things that demanding travelers want. Perhaps a regional travel organization can increase collaboration among communities to set the stage for regional success, not just success for Doolin.

Did not explore Lisdoonvarna itself too much but it would have been worth a day or two, just too much other stuff pre-planned. Was a great base to the Burren, Doolin, Cliffs of Mohr, Aran islands ferry.

Live music at the Ritz, however all the large hotels were shut to the public as they were being used to house refugees. Absolutely no problem with that use but they surly could allow the public access to the restaurants coffee shops etc as without this there were only limited facility in the town.

Considering that it is a tourist destination, it is quiet shabby I thought. The town coucil (like many others in Clare) should consider a factfinding trip to the likes of Westport to see how a tourist town SHOULD look like.
The "What would you recommend Lisdoonervarna for" sectoin is challenging "Its central position in North West Clare and the roads out of it" was not an option..

We went for the festival which we went to every year before Covid and I am sorry to say it was not as it usually is. All of the hotels were closed which was a major disappointment. Thankfully the Ritz still serves great food but the Matchmaker bar which is usually excellent was closed along with a lot more.
I am afraid we will not be going back and this saddens me as the festival was usually hopping.

We loved Lisdoonvarna.
We loved Lisdoonvarna. The town is small but lively and we really enjoyed the Ritz House Hotel. First, they were very kind, with free Wi-Fi available in the bar. We had an excellent dinner there, with great food, service and atmosphere. We wished we had booked to stay there!
We used the trip as a point for visiting the Aran Islands from nearby Doolin. This worked very well and we had a wonderful day out there, in the care of Doolin Ferries.
we arrived and were told we could only pay in cash - said our visa didn’t go through? this made no sense and we felt very uncomfortable and decided to leave and the host was upset. There was nothing wrong with our credit card as we used it at the hotel we ended up staying at. Room was not appealing and the whole experience was unsettling
Loved the people, the food, comradory, and the town.of Lisdoonvarna. Loved how Lyn and John have put themselves up to assist the Ukrainian people! I have watch as both of them taught many Ukrainians in the working of a hotel. And all done with the greatest of patience. It is a pleasure to count them as friends!
This is a basic enough hotel, dated but not without a certain charm, All what you would expect is there (en siute, clean, warm, teaa making, tv Good Wifi, etc etc) car park is directly adjacemnt and the hotel is very central.
Chef/Waiter for Breakfast is very charming and efficicent
The breakfast was good..The location was convthe.enient to lisdoonvarna for the festival The view from our bedroom window was good but on a few years from now there will be nothing to see but forest.TREES TREES TREES.Thats how Ireland is heading our celery will be gone.
The Town house was wonderful for our family holiday, it was clean and spacious! We had lots of room for granny and grandad and our little family.
Lisdoonvarna was a central spot for lots of day trips around Co Clare!
We had an amazing stay!
Nice and close to Lisdoonvarna where the hosts directed me to a great little pub for dinner. The room was clean. Breakfast was lovely and the hosts were very nice. Not far to drive to the Cliffs of Mohr the next day.
The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices to suit different tastes.
Staff were warm friendly and very helpful and willing to provide information and advice on how best to enjoy the Co Clare experience.
This hotel was in an excellent location for getting to the Cliffs of Moher and Doolin, which is what we wanted to do. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Miaread was an absolutely amazing hostess.
The food was excellent. the hotel is located in the centre of the town.
The staff and management are very friendly and helpful.
Highly recommended hotel in Lisdoonvarna.
Very clean and comfortable.
Nice clean & comfortable room, nice owners & close to the town of Lisdoonvarna. It was convenient for our visit to Inishmor one day and the Burren the next day.
The rooms are small, but the hospitality was excellent. Breakfast was great. Innkeepers were very nice to open their hotel for us during their off season.
