The hotel is very modern and clean. The room was big, clean and spacious. The bed was massive and very comfortable. Great rain shower, the pressure was great. We had dinner which was lovely- seafood chowder was amazing and the buffet breakfast was the best I've had. You can walk to the hotel from terminal 2 in 5 mins or wait for the courtesy bus. My 1st time here but definitely not my last.

Carefully restored to retain the character of the original Roganstown House, this is a magnificent Georgian house on the 300-acre Roganstown Estate. It boasts an AA Rosette award-winning restaurant.

Perfect place to stay after a long flight. Big comfy bed, large room, easy 24 hour checkin, peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was exceptional too- shout out to Bronwyn in the restaurant who ensured I started my day with a good coffee and feed.

Marine Hotel, hotel in Malahide

The Marine Hotel is a 5-minute walk from the beach and has rooms with views over Dublin Bay.

Hotel is conveniently located by the dart (train lines that takes you directly into town in less than 20 minutes). The room was nice and quite spacious. I selected the superior room with the view and I would recommend it. The hotel also has a pool and a small sauna room. The breakfast was continental and they had a warm buffet as well. Very simple breakfast. It costs 20euro unless it is included in your room price. I would suggest eating out at the many caffes around the hotel. Overall a nice stay.

Malahide is a cute village on the Irish Sea.

Malahide is a cute village on the Irish Sea. It has a variety of restaurants, pubs, and shops. It's a very easy town to walk around. Public transportation to Dublin or nearby towns is readily available.

The village is quite pretty with many old houses.

The village is quite pretty with many old houses. It is clean but in August quite busy. Traffic can be slow moving through the town. The beach was disappointing but Portmarnock beach a couple of miles south is very good. There are many restaurants which provide a variety of choice although there is a preponderance of Italian dishes. The views out to sea are good and walking around the town is interesting.

I'm not familiar with the area, trip was for a wedding with a couple of days added on. Transport was slow. Nowhere locally to leave a suitcase on departure day. The train station officer allowed us to leave it for a few hours. We enjoyed a tour around Malahide Castle and a stroll around the gardens. Lots of pubs if that's your thing. I don't drink. Not knowing the area I am unlikely to visit there again. However, if you want a base for travel into town, it's fine. Travelling inland is tricky unless you travel by the Luas on the old line towards Sandyford. We got taxis everywhere as the wedding was nearby, as were a couple of family visits. If going out, definitely plan your travel to reduce frustration. It is cheap though and taxis are not extortionate either, as fares strictly by the meter. Just book ahead if on a deadline :-)

The hotel expansion programme since my last visit is astonishing but it retains and has upgraded its regality without charging an extreemly high fee. Since it was too late to eat in the hotel we walked into the village and just scraped into a useful take away venue closing at 11 pm. Expectations that we could have had the food delivered to the hotel were unfounded but we enjoyed a late night drink to accompany the food on our return. This is a wonderful but not stuffy hotel with most agreable staff.

We ate at Siam Thai both nights. Food was delicious and service was excellent The following are merely suggestions. Increased designated access ways for pedestrians to access the beach and additional seating placed at regular intervals on the coastal walkway to Portmarnock.

I liked the location, beisde the beach and malahide marina, the Dart into dublin city centre was within 2 min walking distance and ran regularly to and from the city. (Approx 20mins). Ideal for concerts, shopping or city sightseeing. Breakfast was fresh and a wide range available. staff were very helpful and polite. Hotel lobby was relaxed and nice atmosphere. I left items in the room - staff were helpful in locating them and organising postage to have them returned.

Excellent location. Off-street parking. Felt like a safe neighborhood - we were walking about 11 pm after dinner in the town center. Room clean and neat and freshly painted. Private entrance to our room. Host delivered fresh tea and biscuits to our room after arrival. They also gave us a fabulous recommendation for a local pub for dinner. Very friendly host and staff.

The location! The town center of Malahide is just a short stroll away, and it's filled with charming shops, cafes, and restaurants. The picturesque marina is another must-visit spot, and you can enjoy a leisurely walk along the waterfront while taking in the beautiful views. Very close to the airport as well :)
