We were mostly in the Strandhill area which is beautiful. Lots of places to eat and drink. Beautiful beach area where surfers were surfing, and Knocknarea to climb if you have the legs for it! Dinner at The Venue and best we’ve had so far.
The Strand Bar was fantastic too. Fresh sweet seafood!

Sligo is a lovely place, both for itself and its location to explore lots of interesting places nearby. There are lots of cafes and restaurants to suit every taste.
The man in the tourist office was so nice and helpful. We were sorry that we couldn't go on the walking tour It sounded very interesting .
The one way traffic system is a bit confusing but we got used to it quickly. Actually, I'd advise people to park the car and just walk.. its much quicker.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. From the moment we checked in we felt the homely atmosphere, and this is down to the friendliness and overall demeanor of the staff throughout the hotel. We used the leisure facilities twice during our stay and the guys there were so helpful and friendly. The staff in Jack B's and the breakfast staff, especially Louise, were great, it is very obvious that the Sligo Park Hotel is a nice and happy place to work, which is a huge compliment to the management, keep us the good work.
The location was wonderful with lovely scenery. Not far from Sligo town. Beautiful modern spacious apartments with everything you could possibly need. Bathroom in each bedroom, all mod cons in the kitchen and very quiet and peaceful with stunning views. Great for families. The host/manager Jeremiah was exceptional. Best customer service I’ve ever come across. We had a minor issue checking in and he was outstanding in customer care. Went above and beyond for us.
Extremely clean with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Desi and Mary are two of the nicest, generous people I have ever met. The value they added to our stay was spectacular. We met them as strangers but left them a few days later feeling like they were family. Do yourself a favor and book your stay at the Sligo Sea Barn. Breathtaking views and amazing community with lots to do. You will not be disappointed!
The staff was great and offered ideas of where to go and what to see. We were offered a map even before we asked for one. We had breakfast before we left for the train station. I tried the light brown breakfast pudding as I had heard of it, but never tried it. Now I can say I tried it, but I'm not really a fan. Sligo is such a beautiful place. I need to do some more research so I will be back.
Amazing location in a unique building with super friendly welcoming and obliging staff. The genuinely friendly welcome we received from Robert was the best we’ve experienced!
Short walk to gorgeous bay/ beach, surrounded by beautiful gardens and forest and staying in a over 100 year old mansion- away from the hustle of Sligo makes for a great stay.
Only sorry we didn’t stay longer
The hotel was very well located 15 min drive outside Sligo in a beautiful and quiet area.
You are welcome by lovely staff and some relaxing music playing in the room on the vintage radio. The decoration is exquisite, and the cleanliness was on top. The room was spacious with a small sofa.
Very agréable and relaxing stay would recommend it and definitely will come back.
Great location, very close to the city centre and all the other wonderful attractions Sligo has to offer. Lovey and friendly reception and security, easily accessed and quick to answer any questions. It is student accommodation during the term year so it is basic - the bed mattress could have been comfier, but it is clean, safe and secure.
The location was a short walk from Sligo city centre. The host was very easy to reach by phone and was very helpful. The house was clean, warm and comfortable. On arrival there was a basket with snacks in the kitchen and a little welcome note!
The most elegant accommodations In Sligo! Gorgeous, comfortable & elegant. Incredible views from every room & amazing spaces to enjoy & relax. Great suggestions from hosts on sightseeing, bars & must-see Sligo highlights.
Lovely hotel with beautiful views, just out of Sligo town but an easy drive, and close to the stunning Rosses Point. Good gym and pool. We had a delicious meal at the Brasserie Restaurant, great breakfast selection too.
Excellent location to the city centre. Lovely bar attached to hotel. Breakfast was tasty and cooked fresh with good selection and well priced. Staff were friendly and attentive. I would stay again at this hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the receptionists. The location of the hotel couldn't be better for accessing the centre of Sligo town.
Our room was excellenty equipped and clean.
It was nice to have dining options in the hotel proper, "The Mills" a friendly, fun staff with the best chips in Ireland. They turned Rugby on for us and we had a blast watching.
