Overlooking the Ilen River and close to the centre of Skibbereen, the West Cork Hotel has a restaurant and a bar. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and free onsite parking are available.

This is a lovely stately period hotel. It currently undergoing refurbishment but any disruption was minimal. It looks out over the River Lee and is very peaceful. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished with a river view. Parking was free and easy to access. The Restaurant meals were of a very high standard. The included self service continental breakfast was generous but we also ordered additional cooked breakfast from the menu. Nice choices. All the staff were very helpful and professional. Highly recommend.

Liss Ard Estate, hotel in Union Hall

This stunning, 163 acre estate includes beautiful gardens, a 40-acre lake, and the fantastic Sky Garden crater. Fresh home cooking is provided, and guests can enjoy canoeing on the lake.

Honestly everything was exceptional, the welcome we received, the lovely staff, the gorgeous estate house which felt like it was ours for the weekend, the grounds, sauna, Sky Garden and of course the comfy beds. We left feeling so relaxed and are still floating on air. The blue skies and sunshine helped too!

Bethel Guesthouse, hotel in Union Hall

Bethel Guesthouse in Rosscarbery has 4-star accommodation with a garden. The property features a terrace, as well as a shared lounge. At the guest house, all rooms are fitted with a wardrobe.

Factor 50 sun cream was on offer during Storm Agnes which was a nice touch. Loved the banter and Jim and Margaret were charming informative hosts. Breakfast was continental but plentiful after a week elsewhere of Irish breakfasts. The whole place is immaculately clean.

Annie May's Bar, B&B, hotel in Union Hall

Annie May's Bar, B&B, a property with a bar, is set in Skibbereen, 500 metres from St Patrick's Cathedral, Skibbereen, 36 km from Lisellen Estates, as well as 3.3 km from Skibbereen Golf Club.

The breakfast was lovely, and our hosts were kind enough to ask us for our preferences the evening prior and took due care to ensure that they were catered to. They offered to make a quick fruit bowl out of strawberries and blueberries for my friend. Also, in the midst of the early dinner which was really great, they made time to sit and have a good chat with us. The location is right in the middle of Skibbereen and is within 5-7 minutes walking distance when one gets off the 237 Bus from Cork City. It was a pleasant surprise when, as we were taking off, all the helping and kitchen staff came out to wave us goodbye, send us off, and let us know the directions to the Bus Stop.

It is a stunningly beautiful little village and one of Ireland best kept secrets. Off season was perfect to see it and had some delicious food there . Very close to other really beautiful coastal villages too but will definitely go back to spend more time in Union Hall as we found it a particularly charming village in gorgeous west cork

It's a small village, with a shop, a cafe that is only open at the weekends, and one great pub (and a second OK pub). The people are friendly, but there is not much else here. With a few more shops and cafes, it could be a bustling little port village, but it needs some investment. It is a great location for visiting other places, and it has some nice walks around the area (although it is a hilly location).

We had a great meal in The Dock Wall, with seating on a terrace right up against the water. There's not a huge amount to do in the town itself, but there are several walking routes to nearby beaches that can be done in 1-3 hours, and plenty to do and see outdoors in the scope of a day trip. I loved how quiet and peaceful the location was.

Union Hall has everything you could want from a holiday. Little beach, lovely places to eat and all serving up local produce eg Union Hall smoked salmon and all locallly sourced fish. Supermarket that stocks all you need for those wishing to self cater. Ideal place for young families. A place to relax and unwind.

A very pretty village with a lovely sandy beach; a perfect launch spot for stand up paddle boarding or kayaking and a lovely swimming spot. I recommend driving across to Glandore for wonderful seafood at either the Glandore Inn or Hayes. Nearby, there is a really cool, alternative Irish pub called Connellys of Leap - great live music and amazing wood fired pizza.

The accommodation was top class. This is a purpose built B&B with clean, spacious and well decorated and furnished en suite bedrooms. The Kearney's were great hosts and went out of their way to provide excellent service and advice about night life and events in the area. The breakfasts were restaurant standard and we would have no hesitation at all in recommending Lis Ardagh Lodge to any travelers looking for exceptional comfort and service at affordable prices. This is 4 star service at 3 star prices. 10/10

This was a gem of a place. We arrived after a long day of cycling and were quite tired and hungry. The setting was in a the quaint village of Union Hill and unfortunately the local pubs were not open for that day. Julie, the host, drove us to a nearby town for dinner, and picked us afterwards. She was also so kind as to throw our bike clothing into the wash. Her breakfast was fabulous with a great selection of items.

Breakfast was not included in the booking as it was a house booking for 11 days. The location was extremely good because I could walk to Dinty's for lunch and the Centra store for some shopping. I have stayed in and around Union Hall for years and like the area very much. The garden was a great size for my dog and was secluded and a nice place to sit when the weather was good

We stayed at Lis-Ardagh Lodge overnight on a motorcycle trip around Southern Ireland. It is an exceptional place to stay, immaculately clean and standards consistent with a top class hotel. The hosts Carol & Jim were very welcoming and clearly take great pride in their guesthouse. Lovely breakfast & plenty of secure parking. Would definitely stay again if re-visiting Ireland.

Everything it is a beautiful guest house overlooking the harbour. Beautiful rooms and ours had a view out to the harbour. We had a beautiful meal at the dock wall and woke up to a beautiful sunny morning. Our host couldn’t do enough for us and the breakfast was superb you wouldn’t get it in a 4 star hotel. It was a very enjoyable stay and we will return.
