I liked the live music in the bars, the choice of restaurants and the interesting shops. I got some lovely birthday presents while l was rambling round the town. Westport House and grounds are lovely, although the House is closed for renovations temporarily. Westport is a good base also for other interesting places in Mayo. All in all, good in any season.

Fabulous town centre, very picturesque with plenty of shops and a large variety of restaurants, pubs and cafes. Easy walk to westport house and grounds and situated in an excellent position on the coast close to beaches, mountains, the greenway path and the wild atlantic way. In easy reach of Kylemore Abbey and Achill Island.

Westport is a small town but has everything traveller could wish for. Loads of great bars and restaurants. Independent shops abound. There s s lovely atmosphere at this time of year. The locals are very friendly and it is a pleasure to visit. Close to the town are wonderful beaches and the village of Louisburgh nearby is also well worth a stop. Finally Westport is about an hour's scenic drive from magical Achill Island.

Westport is a charming picturesque bustling Irish town situated in the West of Ireland and central to Connemara and Atlantic Way. High quality pups and eateries with traditional Irish flair, great for foodies and coffee shop lovers alike. Traditional Irish pubs with Irish music overlook the town square and the old bridge which crosses the river where fly fishermen cast their rods. The local people are friendly and welcoming.

Lack of entrtainment meant we had to travel into Wesport centre each night. As a result we booked in for a 4th night into a hotel in Wesport centre, Wesport, very compact town, great shops, restaurants and bars. Brilliant location for sightseeing in and around the area. Need to be careful driving in the centre as new type crossings are not clearly marked and many visitors wouldnt realise they were pedistrian crossings. Croak Patrick, Knock, Leanne -The Field and Kilgarry river cruise were great visits.

The hotel was very comfortable, the staff were excellent. The location was right in the centre of the town. The breakfast was lovely. The rooms were very spacious and had everything you would need. We would certainly stay there again and would highly recommend it. The evening meal we had at the hotel was delicious. There are plenty of places within easy walking distance if you wanted to eat elsewhere.

Room was large and spacious with good facilities. Members of staff were friendly and efficient with a special mention to the warm welcome we received on arrival at the reception desk. We loved the leisure facilities. We didn't eat in the restaurant but breakfast was the best we had eaten during our holiday in Ireland. The hotel was located really conveniently for accessing the town.

This was a lovely apartment extremely well-located in the center of the city. Aiden was a wonderful host, met us at the apartment with the keys, and as it turned out he went out of his way to accommodate us when the hot water heater ceased to function. With no weekend repairman available, Aiden moved us to a neighboring hotel.

The location was great, right on the harbor. It was about a mile walk into town, but there were plenty of food and drink options near by the hotel. We had an view of the bay from our room, it was lovely. The room was large and offered a little sofa as well. Checking in was smooth and we had no issues.

Ed was a wonderful host! The house is beautiful and immaculate. Our room had a 4-poster bed and so much space. Breakfast is made to order with many choices and the food was absolutely delicious. We were in Ireland and Scotland for 3 weeks and this was by far our favorite B&B. Thank you, Ed!

Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Lots of parking spaces outside, very close the Greenway & only a 10 minute walk into the town. Breakfast was really good, probably better than what you would be served in a fancy hotel. We would stay again.
