Bodhgaya is a place of profound spiritual significance and historical importance. It's the very site where Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment and became the Buddha. Visiting Bodhgaya is a transformative experience, where one can immerse themselves in the serenity of the Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Bodhi Tree, believed to be the exact spot where the Buddha meditated.
The atmosphere in Bodhgaya is charged with spirituality, with pilgrims from all over the world paying homage to the Buddha and participating in meditation and prayer sessions. The tranquility of the surroundings, coupled with the chants and rituals, creates a deeply moving and introspective atmosphere.
Apart from its spiritual significance, Bodhgaya offers a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of Buddhism through its monasteries, stupas, and ancient artifacts. Exploring the various monasteries, each representing different Buddhist traditions, provides insight into the diversity and depth of Buddhist teachings.
The town itself is charming, with narrow lanes lined with shops selling religious artifacts, handicrafts, and traditional items. The local cuisine, influenced by the region's diverse cultural heritage, offers a delightful culinary experience for visitors.
Overall, Bodhgaya is not just a destination; it's a pilgrimage for the soul. Its timeless beauty, spiritual energy, and cultural richness make it a place unlike any other, leaving a lasting impression on all who visit. Whether you seek spiritual enlightenment, cultural immersion, or simply a serene retreat, Bodhgaya offers an experience that is truly unparalleled.

One day should be enough to go around Gaya-Bodhgaya.
One day should be enough to go around Gaya-Bodhgaya. Hire a good cab service and plan well. This is more of pilgrimage center (Hindus and Buddhist). Do not miss the cave where Buddha did meditation for six years) Take this opportunity to visit Pawpuri (Mahavir's Nirvana) Rajgir and Nalanda. Historical importance. From there you may travel to Patna and see Takhat Haramandir Sahib (Birth place of Gurugobind Singh) If you have not experienced Langar do have it there.
This leg-Gaya-Bodhgaya, Pawpuri, Rajgir,Nalanda, Patna- you are touching the holy places of four religions originated in India-Hinduism Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism apart from Historical places of Nalanda and Rajgir.

Quiet place with very little pollution.
Quiet place with very little pollution. The pandemic has definitely had its impact. The temples are open only till 5 PM and the lightning of the temples have been discontinued except the Mahabodhi temple. The temples are serene, clean and visitor friendly. Definitely worth a visit of two days.
I had a perfect stay in this hotel. Everything was great, rooms are clean, the host is very welcoming and warm, breakfast is tasty, price is great, Mahabodhi temple is 7 minutes away. Love and attention is felt in everything. The host also helped me to get a tuctuc to airport at a good price. Hotel business is often called hospitality - and that’s exactly what I felt all my stay: that I am welcome and the host intends to take good care of me.
+ The staff is very friendly and always courteous
+ The staff is always approachable and helpful. Once I needed medicine, it was taken care of immediately. Super.
+ The hotel is in a very quiet location. You have peaceful nights there
+ The rooms are large and have great facilities
+ The complex is very beautiful and very clean by Indian standards
+ The hotel facilities are very good
The room was comfortable, spacious & clean, hot water working at all time. We loved our stay, and the friendliness and help of the owner and the staff (help with arranging train tickets to Varanasi). Daily tea/coffee served straight to the room, as well as free mineral water bottle daily. Thank you!
PS : Penu the dog of the hotel is very cuddly and friendly 😄
We took breakfast and an occasional meal in the restaurant, which is run separately from the hotel. The restaurant owner is nice; the kitchen good. The guard of the hotel is a nice outgoing chap, who speaks English - better that the staff who obviously prefer to speak Hindi. The room was large but bland. For the rest there is little to like about the hotel.
Amazing lovely family, out of the crowd of Bodhgaya.
5 star is not enough just for have been meeting them.
Rooms are basics but more then enough to me and we are talking about a budget accomodation so no complain at all!!
Would be perfect a mosquito net cause there were a lot of them, but normal in this season.
Great place anyway!!
We came to Dalai Lama teaching and location of this hotel is perfectly located right across the road from Kalachakra Ground where teachings were held. Very convenient having our balcony facing the Ground. Very clean room, has everything you need, stuff is very friendly and have breakfast included.
