That is horrible it isn't enough or waste of money for travelers. Who went budget tour.

Kolkata is indeed the city of joy.
Kolkata is indeed the city of joy. Walking through the street of Kolkata means, walking through history, culture and heritage. One or two days are nothing for Kolkata. To know Kolkata, to see Kolkata you need at least a month to get the best essence of the trip. Old part of the city as well as modern part of the city has so many beautiful things to offer for a tourist. I think Kolkata is the best place to enrich ones knowledge of arts, music, literature and what not?

This was my first time visiting Kolkata.
This was my first time visiting Kolkata. I had heard that it was very congested, old, run down and dirty. I found it to be the same as most of the other big cities in India. Liked the history. However the old Kolkata could do with an uplift. To preserve some of the old buildings they need to be refurbished.

City of joy as the mane suggest is a happy city.
City of joy as the mane suggest is a happy city. Not too expensive as compared to other metros. Food is mind blowing. Street food is recommended. For shopping gariahat or new market. Local sightseeing can be done via uber which is comparatively cheaper. Nicco park would take an entire day, mind u. Rest u can cover in two days. Plan your itinerary in advance. Wax museum and ecological park are nearby. New market n Indian museum are adjacent, so n all. Hence plan like that. Happy stay.
The staff was really kind with us...Mr Asit and Ms Krishna were wonderful hosts preparing amazing breakfasts for us! I loved that, also if as foreigners we asked for a continental breakfast, every morning they added a different little Indian sweet to our meal...it was a nice surprise!
And thank you to Babai...it was really nice to spend some time chatting with you!
The place is cozy and has all what we needed...and the kindness of its workers is at the top of the list!
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, 4 days. We had a very good experience with this hotel. Their breakfast buffet spread was excellent. All the items across cuisines - Indian and International - were very tasty. The Mishti Doi was the best :). Their lunch and dinner offerings were also very excellent.
The rooms were clean, the location is awesome and their reception is also very good. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for luxury stay in Kolkata!
If you want to treat yourself to a luxury hotel break this is a must. Beautiful building with very accommodating staff. I felt like they thought I was a movie star!
Had laundry done and they managed to remove a glue mark I'd had on a polo shirt for over 5yrs, they must have a magician working in laundry.
Best eggs benedict I'd ever had. Got to be the best hotel in India! I believe it was the first ever guest house. Awesome job.
This was our first stay in the Taj group of hotels in India and we were pleasantly surprised. The room had tasteful decor along with all facilities and also was very clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and we had a great sleep after a tiring flight. The breakfast was good with a lot of choices. The staff tried to make our stay with a small baby as comfortable as possible.
It was a wonderful experience staying with Hotel Aspiring Inn. I must say one of the best Hotel in Kolkata i have ever visited. Rooms were so neat and clean. Staffs were very helpful... Reception guys were excellent in response... Food was very delicious... Lots of entertainment... Atmosphere was peaceful... Enjoyed my stay... Would love to visit again.
The location is perfect... just 5 minutes walk from Park Circus. From there you can easily get public transport to any part of Kolkata or connection to any of the metro stations. 20-25 minutes walk from Park Street metro station. There is a nice breakfast place just beside hotel where you can get awesome piping hot Poori Sabji...
Lovely hotel in a central location nearby the main shopping area of Camac Street and Park Street. Very safe and affordable. Friendly and professional services by the staff making you feel very comfortable and had a relaxing and enjoyable stay here. Definitely recommended and will sure to visit this hotel again when in Kolkata.
Sanitation, hygiene, food, staff behaviour, location from airport. Overall very pleasant and comfortable stay. The kitchen Elphin serves exceptional home like food. The food was Exactly same as we indians eat in our houses, i mean pure, tasty and healthy. Special compliments to the CHEF.!!
Actually everything was excellent. The hospitality, food and located not far from the airport. They strive to make the guests feel at home and ensure all is needed to make the guest happy..Any assistance required is met with a smile and most helpful especially if new to Kolkata or India.
Excellent hotel in locality... Amazing hotel with clean rooms and bathroom. Peaceful environment. There is no noise here like other hotels. I really enjoyed staying here. Next time I come to Kolkata, I will definitely come here. Best budget hotel in Kolkata👍
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting kolkata. Location is also great near to new market, marquis street and park street.
The staff - ever willing to satisfy our requests. The ambience was so serene especially, with soft Indian classical music(flute)wafting through the hotel early in the morning. And the food was absolutely brilliant especially for a Bong in Kolkata during Pujo.
The best part of property was it was very close to airport. Thus it would be suitable option for anyone who is looking for an overnight stay near airport for their transit journey. Also they provided shuttle service to airport albeit with minimal charges.
There were 5 of us in Kolkata. It felt like staying in a house with 3 rooms, was super convenient, compared to taking 3 rooms in a hotel.
Staff is so polite, and the owner is very accommodating of check in and check out times too if possible for them.
Breakfast was good with moderate varieties.Location was unexpectedly bad. Approach road was horrible with muds, potholes. Hotel was far away from the Airport although it is known as Holiday In Kolkata Airport which is misleading & confusing.
Nothing. The owner of the hotel needs to realize that in a property you can either run a hotel or a loud disco, but not BOTH. There should be action against them. But it is India so sab chalta hain.
