Wonderful location, facing the mountains. Our room had a great view though it was misty and cloudy most of the time. Fairly large room with a sitting area and plenty of windows to enjoy the view. The restaurant was great, plenty of tasty items during breakfast and dinner menu was good.

Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks...
Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks were a bit disappointing as there was a fair bit of pollution and cloud, so not clear to see. Very cold as well, waiting for sunrise, but plenty of vendors selling hot drinks.
Sherpa Tensing Norgay’s house is a must see( although I didn’t as I became ill), as is ‘toy’ train, which is a narrow train that chugs up and down through nearby towns.
There is a huge Body Shop as well.
Tea plantations are interesting but not open all the time.
Clothing is fairly cheap, especially puffer jackets.

City of Darjeeling has as such nothing to visit..
City of Darjeeling has as such nothing to visit.. Entire town streets full of warm clothe shops and nothing else.. however, nearby places are good as usual.. this is my 5th time to the place and not new.. people with 3-4 days time can explore various places, talk to nature, enjoy the cool bridge..

When I first arrived in Darjeeling, I noticed it was crowded...
When I first arrived in Darjeeling, I noticed it was crowded and a bit polluted. But, overlooking that, the city offered an amazing view of the Himalayan ranges. The downtown area felt like any other hill station, with cozy cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Despite the hustle and bustle, the real charm of Darjeeling became clear – it's a place where the beauty of nature shines through, making it special despite the city buzz.

Walk around to explore the streets and take in the views.
Walk around to explore the streets and take in the views. The Himalayan Tibetan Museum is worth a visit - small but so interesting. Happy Valley Tea was interesting although it is not operational in December/Jan. Walk up Tiger Hill for the views well worth it - rather than driving. The Zoo was worth it as was the Toy Train. People were friendly, not pushy and helpful. All kinds of food to try. Try Chula for momos!
Vacation became extra special because I had chosen this amazing place to stay in. GOLDEN ORCHID has everything that a family trip needs. Extremely comfortable beds with a pretty sitting area from where sunrise can be enjoyed. This place is also very near to the mall, just a walking distance while one can enjoy the cozy darjeeling. There's a lot of nearby food joints where a variety of food is available. Do not think twice if your you are lucky enough to get a booking here. Have a nice stay!!
Manager of hotel was very rude..he don't have manners to talk with their coustomer.
He deny to give my lunch and dinner which already included in my plan. After that, already paid my 8000 rs before check in. When I reach to check in he was saying that I have cancelled my booking. n deny to give room.. lot of problem I face there. and I don't want you should also suffer there. all boys staff were also not good they don't have smile on their face.

I love our stay at Jai Hotels. The location, the staff, the room, and the complimentary breakfast were fabulous! There was not one thing that we didn't like there. We had a wonderful time. I will repeat my stay every time I visit Darjeeling from now on. They also have a taxi booking service, which is reliable, and cost-effective.
My personal rating for this hotel is 10/10. I will recommend everyone to book this property without any hesitation.

Mr & Mrs Shameer (owner) are two wonderful and kind host. They welcomed us as one of the family. They made us feel comfortable and cosy. Always there whenever we need some help. Mrs Shameer (Chandini) cooking is never to be missed. We felt like we were in 5 star hotel, in fact it was better than that. Highly recommended to all those who wants to go for a holiday in Darjeeling. No regrets. Will definitely stay there again.
Excellent staff, always happy to help. Really a good place to stay a few days with family. Easy access to Darjeeling Mall...not more than 5 minute walking. And no climbing except a small ramp up to reach the hotel. Good for people with old family members who can't walk a lot. Stay was just fine. Every morning breakfast was a plus for sure. Good deal at these prices.
It was a very nice place to stay peacefully. One of the best homestay at Darjeeling. The owner nabin bhaiya and archana bhabi are very helpful and genuine. Bhabi always makes food as per our choices and trust me it was really delicious. All are like family members ( including their son nehal).
The rooms are spacious very clean and quite cizy, the room heaters and the toilet is proper.....the climb up to the hotel is a little steep ,only 4 wheel drive cars can go,nice place with Mountain and rhododendron view.....about 15 mints by car from Darjeeling chowk Bazar
Our stay in Darjeeling was amazing due to SVR inn, The owner Romil and his family were so welcoming and the breakfast was fantastic. Well maintained rooms and very neat. The location of the hotel was perfect, it was in a walkable distance from the mall road.
We had a short but wonderful experience staying at Muscatel Bhumsang. The rooms were cosy and comfortable and had good facilities. We were even given the option to choose between two rooms..would definitely recommend this hotel when you are in Darjeeling.
Liked the Behaviour of the Hotel Manager and the owner. They genuinely shared information about all the areas we wanted help or needed.
Specially, Prawesh lama is a very good manager over there. Positive vibe you will get in the hotel.
I loved the view of the kanchenjunga and the Darjeeling city from the room itself.
Loved the shophisticated ambience of the hotel and decor. Loved the breakfast and dinner. Staffs are extreamly helpful and prompt. Strongly recommended.
The hotel was super clean with friendly staff members. It was parking and is closer to batasia loop on the main road. The location is wonderful as you can reach Darjeeling main market within 6kms and yet enjoy your serenity of nature
The ambience, the staff, the food. The hotel is near to Darjeeling rly station. It's excellent for health because this helps to heal health problems. Walking through the steps was tiring but it rejuvenated me and my family.
We did not stay in the hotel. The hotel said that they would not be able to accept the booking as they were already full. But they also wanted to check how many of us would be coming and for how many days. Unprofessional.
The people who will host you at this property are really nice and love the food they cook 😋. If you are a person to have a good experience in the local resident family of Darjeeling. This place is amazing.
I liked everything about my stay at Magnolia Residency. It's a 5 min walk from the mall and Mr. Pradhan is an exceptional host. I would recommend everyone visiting Darjeeling to stay at Magnolia Residency.
