Very very neat and clean. The linens were very clean. Good view of Mirik Lake and surroundings from the balcony. Though on a steep climb, our car could reach upto the door of the home stay. The food was simple home cooked and hot. Served quality Darjeeling tea in big cups. Slippers were available. Nice sitting area with a wide choice of books. Punctual about dinner and breakfast time. Tshiden was very helpful and accommodating. The homestay was in a residential quiet area.

Since there were very few guests when we were there, we had to pre-order breakfast. It was ready a little bit later than usual time. One of the items was not fresh, re-heated most likely. In general, food was good. We also enjoyed walking through the tea gardens which was right outside the gates. Plenty of hills and scenic trails to safely enjoy.

Great hosts, happy to help at all times and highly accomodating. Despite arriving after lunch time, they were still happy to prepare a vegetarian meal for us, and were attentive to our needs at all times. Prior to arrival, they called to inform us that the room we had booked didn't have an ensuite bathroom and asked if we would prefer another that did. They even spoke to the car driver and gave him precise instructions on how to arrive at the property. Location is great, a 5-minute walk takes you down to the lake. The rooftop view is quite nice. The area is tranquil and far away from any honking cars and other traffic, yet eminently walkable. Also there's an adorable cat!

The location was amazing for a quiet getaway, the parties in the lawn notwithstanding. Its a great place if you want to stay in the hotel, but for everything else you need to have a car. Also, the restaurant needs a major improvement. Myt wife got food poisoning on the second day and the food was completely underwhelming. The place is situated in a tea estate, the least that could be done was to give good tea. But alas, that was not the case at all.
