People inside and around the temple will cheat you.
People inside and around the temple will cheat you. Especially when you are planning to do offering (Vazhipadu). Be very vigilant. Just go and meet lord murughan and come back. If you want to do any offering just give it to some poor people or put it in hundi

To say fair Palani as a place is just for the activity of pilgrimage and not to stay more than a day ..escape.. . The city and its surrounding is not at any level comparable to a hygenic tourism or pilgrimage spot and everything from food to accomodation need to be properly checked out . You could see litters garbages , dogs and cows and their droppings all over the town and for our surprise their was not control on dogs even inside the main temple .
Authorities need to be trained more on how to handle and keep domestic and international tourism spots upto cetrian level of hygeine prior to to announcing incredible india on the global platform. Pathetic.

When time is a factor please go via rope car.
When time is a factor please go via rope car. It takes just 2 mins to reach hill top. Depending on rush the wait time to get a rope car may be 45 mims to 60 mins. Evening rush may be bit lesser when compared to mornings...
Please do not listen to outsiders offering darshan at premium rates. They are pure cheaters.
Believe in murugan and go for a wait and darshan mode.
Once in the hill top you can take 100 rupees darshan and it usually finishes in 30 to 40 mins at evening time...
