The staff was non existent except for the young man in the restaurant who did everything the manager was never around. Power off for long periods no mountain views as there are building in front of the hotel obscuring the mountains not good value for money

Pelling is a must visit place for visit to Sikkim, but one need to find out a proper hotel. There are not many. Thre are a number of tourist spots nearby. The skywalk is a unique experience. While booking the toir operator/ taxi, one must ensure all points of interest are covered. One can get a good view of Kanchenjanga mountain.

Peling town is very crowded.
Peling town is very crowded. Some tourists like it so I guess it is okay with them . There are many home stays nearby which are just perfect . As for food there are various options for non vegetarian food . Vegetarian options are limited . The only option I preferred was Hav-Mor. It is a vegetarian restaurant with Jain options available. It is situated near the market place . There are not many options for shopping in Pelling . The nearest place to go for shopping is Geyzing.

I am a Travel Filmmaker and make travel videos on my YouTube channel. My channel name is 'Amit Sengupta Vlogs'. I planned a trip to Pelling to experience the awesome views of Mt. Kanchanjunga.
I got what I expected.
Pelling is the only place on earth from where you can get awesome views of the entire Kanchanjunga range right from your hotel.
The food is delicious too.
Overall, we had a great family trip in Pelling.
I would love to visit Pelling again and stay at Yuksom and explore it more.

Make time for the palace ruins - it's a 3 km walk each way.
Make time for the palace ruins - it's a 3 km walk each way. Very pretty. The way for going has some slopes to navigate, return is very easy.
Let it be the first or second place you visit in the day.
Visit one waterfall - we went to Rimnimbi
Visit the orange garden, go to the river, it's clear. Very pretty. There is a lady who sells fruits and juice, we had and were okay.
I'd say one of the best things was that on the last day, the clouds parted and we got a good view of Kanchendzonga from our hotel room
We stayed two nights, first day, enjoy the hotel. Second day sights

Pelling is a peaceful place. one can easily look the high peaks of the Himalaya. I stayed for 2 nights but wanted to spend more time here. It was the best place of mine after Gurudongmar lake in Sikkim. Although my whole Sikkim trip was fabulous. The foods were delicious. There are various restaurants for non-vegetarians as well as for vegans.
One thing I didn't like in Pelling was there is only one ATM which wasn't working. One has to keep enough cash before coming here.
I would definitely visit again this beautiful heaven and will spned more time with nature. I have some pics of beautiful mountains shot from my hotel room.😍😍

Picturesque and clean tourist place.
Picturesque and clean tourist place. People are tourist friendly. A little bit costly place. In clean weather the full range of Kanchenjunga is seen wonderfully from any spot of this place. Conveyance is mainly dependent on small four wheeler. Many street side restaurants are there.
Elgin Mount Pandim is located in a beautiful location with awesome views of the Kanchenjunga Mountains. It has spectacular views all around the property. Very well maintained property. Beautiful majestic old era rooms. Very tasty, excellent quality food. It is well worth the stay. Very close to Pemyangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins and the Sky walk. We can get a beautiful sunrise veiw from Pemyangtse Monastery and the view of the reflection of the morning sun on the Kanchenjunga Mountains from Elgin Mount Pandim is breathtaking.
Tremendous hostel vibes. The View/place is stunningly beautiful, off the grid, in a small village. Still close to pelling tho. Travellers and the staff live together familystyle and everybody's just very nice and chill. You get lots of bonfires and celebrating but you can also kick back and chill real good. Whatever fits your vibe.
Food and drinks also real good and tasty for a reasonable price.
Usually i don't do hostels anymore, i prefer homestays, but this is just in the same way.
Recommended!
An ideal homestay with an authentic experience of village life in Sikkim. My wife and I had an amazing time at this place. We were well taken care of by the host and his family (and his cute cats and dogs). Stay away from the hotels in Pelling and choose this place instead. The food was incredible too as it was made using organic ingredients from their farm. The host can also help with sightseeing in and around Pelling
Despite relatively bad reviews we have chosen this place because of location with exceptional view. Our expectations were low and everything turned to be better than we thought. Hotel manager and restaurant manager were extremely helpful and supportive. Rooms are not fancy but acceptable. They provided us heaters as it was cold. At the end, we stayed three nights. Overall, if you are modest backpacker, then it is OK.
I explore india and it's hidden places, hotels, people, food. I must say this is a Gem of a property. Great view of Kanchenjunga, nice food, nice people. Anirban da, the manager rocks. Highly recommended. If you love exotic bengali food. This is your hotel. If you like friendly yet helpful staffs. This is your hotel. Will go again to enjoy the exotic view of Kanchenjunga. Family, budget everything is perfect.
This is a wonderful place in nature we were just looking for. Outside of Pelling you will find peace and silence there.
The food is all organic and fresh from the own garden/ farm and sooo delicious!
We would have loved to stay longer at this hostel/ farmstay.
Also the owners, the family and also the other hostel guests were so friendly and nice!
We were a group of six, booked three rooms for a night. Hotel was nice, rooms were quite spacious, staff was very polite, particularly the owner. Nandan, he was very humble and polite. Food was excellent. The best thing is - from room balcony we could have a very nice view of Kanchendzonga. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
Perfect homestay to stay in Pelling. The rooms are cozy and pretty. Everything was super clean. The best part was the hospitality accorded to us by Yanchen and family. She went out of her way to arrange for our travel, and was very prompt with everything. Will recommend this property to everyone who's planning to visit Pelling
Nothing, we checked out after one night inspite of booking for 2 nights as the hotel is 10 km from pelling, they advertise the location as pelling which is a complete lie. the cottage room was filthy with linen that had blood stains, lipstick marks and eye liner. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. Absolute rip off.
Situated outside the Pelling town area on the Pelling - Chongbong road . The atmosphere is very peaceful. The behaviour of the staff & the host is excellent. The food is light on the stomach but tastes very good. Good homestay for the one who loves to spend time in the lap of nature.
picture perfect location, one hour of pure uphill walk to Pelling (10 mins ride), and walking distance from some pristine visiting places. We loved the stay thoroughly. The staff and the host family were very warm and welcoming.
Everything about this hotel was great, from price to lication to cleaniness and mostly the staffs. All of the staffs were exceptionally good and helpful and available 24 hours for service. 🥰😍
Didn’t like service..owner behaved very badly with us and no electricity for continuous 2 days with no power backup..Pathetic pls don’t go for this hotel
