The cottage was nicely decorated and reasonably well appointed for a self-catering stay.
The location was perfect for exploring the Reykjanes Peninsula by car and was about 10 minutes’ drive from the large supermarkets of Keflavik.
It was very peaceful and close to the lovely walking trail to the lighthouse.

The staff was very nice. Check-in process was extremely fast & breakfast started super early in the morning, so I could even get breakfast before my flight. Hotel looks a bit dated, but it is very clean and offers all the facilities you might need. Is super close to a lake, so there were some beautiful views. Enough stores in the neighborhood as well.

Gardur is a small town ... with a wonderful Lighthouse that is very photogenic ... no traffic ... no crowds. Gardur is a very limited for restaurants and other services ... but an excellent choice if you want to explore the Reykjanes Peninsula ... and close to the airport.

For me, the Garður Apartments were ideal: there was a kitchen area to prepare food (because there are no nearby restaurants), the area was quiet except for calling birds, and I enjoyed walking to lighthouse that is about 20 minutes' walk away. The airport is roughly a 15-minute drive away, and so easy to reach with a car.WesleyUnited States

The staff at this hotel was amazing. They are so friendly and offered to make us food early in the morning before breakfast was open. Breakfast was included in our stay. There’s also a bar for the end of the evening. We chose this location to be close to the airport and because it is closer to begin some of the drives around the country versus staying in Reykjavík. I would stay here again.

In the morning a great breakfast was supplied. Because we had a relative early flight, the kitchen opened 10 minutes earlier than their scheduled time to accommodate our need. We enjoyed our stay.
