This was the last accomodation during our trip through Iceland, we spent three nights here and it was perfect to calm down and relax after an exhausting journey.
We were two couples and the house was easily big enough for us, it is well suited for way bigger groups.
There are two very new and stylish bathrooms and the bedrooms feel new as well. Everything felt super clean and the huge kitchen was well equipped.
The location is great to explore the Snæfellsnes peninsula in a day trip or visit the Bifröst area and much more.
Our host was very friendly and helpful and provided us with lots of information on what to do in the area and even invited us to visit them when they were gathering the sheep.
A very special treat for me was that I was able to see the northern lights easily from just behind the house. Of course you still need luck with the weather but the farm is in a very dark environment with only very little light pollution, so you can easily spot the northern lights if they occur(For the stargazing enthusiasts: this is a Bortle 3 or maybe even Bortle 2 class area!). You even get the best angle from the kitchen so you don't have to spend the entire night outside freezing and waiting for them, just wait inside until it's worth going outside. I took some amazing pictures here, just behind the house without much effort.
I am very happy with this accomodation as the finale of our trip!

Great location, excellent friendly staff from Italy and Slovakia, we were made to feel most welcome. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious.
The room was very spacious and the bed was comfy.
Breakfast was plentiful and varied and tasty.

As there were only three other guests, we got upgraded to our own little cabin, that was really nice. The cabin was lovely, spacious and clean, the kitchen was nice and had all we needed, also dishwasher. In the bathroom there was also washing machine which we didn't use, however if you intend to, bring a washing machine powder.
We loved the hot tub, there were changing rooms next to it, you have to bring your own towel. Lake next to it can be used as cold plunge - the only problem is getting in and out, maybe steps would be a good idea.
Overall very nice stay and recommend staying.

The apartment is spacious considering its chararacteristics. Kitchen well equipped and with consumables in neat conditions. Everything clean. Bed very confortable. Close to the main road althogh not immediately detectable since it is just 'along the road' without street address.

Sodulsholt Cottages evokes the story of a real Icelandic family, which preserves and nurtures the tradition of breeding Icelandic horses. On the farm, litlle friedns of horses are adorable cats and dogs. The warm family atmosphere gave us the feeling of a home from which we did not want to leave. If you want to interact with owners, see horses, ride them or similar, just ask. Here you will find tranquility, peace and untuched true nature. Explore the west fjord of peninsula, it is worth it!! We did our shopping in Borgarnes, Bonus market, which is 50 km away if you are coming from Rejkjavik direction. Watch out because there is no closer market. We are only sorry that we were not able to see the aurora borealis due to the clouds. Excellent equipment of the house, warm and cozy, equiped with everything you need so that you don't have to worry about anything for a few days. Ideal for a family with two children, warm, very clean with all equipment and parking in front of the house. There are 3 other cottages next door, but you have enough peace and privacy. Check in/out at any time of the day, because the key is on the wall next to the entrance door with the code.
