Great location for the big attractions in the area!
Great staff, breakfast and restaurant. Walking distance behind the hotel for the glacier view at both sunrise and sunsets, I recommend! 15min drive to the neighbor glacier and hikes, and 30min to Jökulsárlón.
Ohh, be vary aware of the new 90km/hr highway speed limit now in Iceland, and it is very expensive, around $450 USD (60,000 ISK if you pay up front), I know, I had 120 km/hr and no cars around me, except the police car far in front of me, taking my speed! If you can spot the local drivers from tourists, and if they speed, they know there is no police car at the time in the area, but strongly advise to stick with 90km/hr, anything over 99, and it will cost you!

The location is perfect and ideally located close to the glacier, easy access and yet secluded. Clean, functionable and well thought out layout. Owner is very responsive. We enjoyed the use of the terrace and the large windows to watch sunset and spot the northern lights from. Would definitely stay here again.

The place is an excellent spot for Northern Lights hunting and experienced. The staff were all very nice and accommodating. The wifi is seamless and parking is abundant. Highly recommended and great value for money. very near to Crystal Blue Ice cave tour if your coming from Reykjavik.

Hof seemed to be a small city, perfectly located if you are renting a car to see the area, we came from Vik, and we drove all over the Jökulsárlón and returned on the evening to the hotel. as every village in Iceland, you need to pay attention to the exit, but google map was able to find it and we didn't have any problems. We booked the 2 double room, assuming we needed to share the bathroom, little did we know that the two rooms are part of a cottage and it was like a big 2 bedroom house rather than 2 double room. Breakfast was amazing, and I suppose in aurora season, you can look up and see the northern like, but even if there is no season, waking up to the nature was mind blowing. it was perfect for us, 4 friends who did the ring road in 9 days!

Brilliant location (we chose it for proximity to our tour start location). The food is delicious and normal pricing for Iceland. Breakfast was good too and they catered for gluten free with ease. The rooms were comfortable and the shower was very good. The room had beautiful views too with huge windows that opened fully.
