We had a large room with a sea view, wich was clean and quiet . A young girl st the reception, who also had cooked for us, was very friendly. We had a very delicious dinner in the hotel. For breakfast we could order fresh eggs.

Great views. We had two rooms - one with ocean view and one with mountain view. Both were beautiful. Rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was pretty good.
There was no refrigerator - not even a common one that could be used to store food we were carrying, but hotel staff did offer to store the stuff for us in their kitchen, which we collected next morning.
Dyrhólaey Stone Arch is pretty close (~8 minutes by car). Great views from there. But we did not see any puffins as we visited in May and some years they do not arrive until June.
Located in Vík, 20 km from Skogafoss Waterfall, Farmhouse Lodge provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Personnel was very friendly and flexible (as we arrived later than expected). I had the feeling to be sleeping over in the country house of friend!
Location is spectacular. It is in the countryside, so you need a car. Cabin is fairly new and well appointed. Cabin was clean, but not superbly clean. Varanda around the cabin was not clean. I did not figure out how to use the door lock, but there was no need to look the door! I also had trouble using the stove top. I guess some instructions would help. I definitely would stay there again.

The accomodation is beautiful, self contained, had everything we needed.
Vik is not too far away by car to purchase food & provisions, also warm clothing if needed.
Vestri Petursey is close to the Black Sand Beach, & also beautiful waterfalls.
Car parking was right beside our cabin so it was easy to unload & reload the car.
There was ramp access to the cabin so easy entry with our luggage.
I can't speak highly enough of this accomodation, it was just beautiful.
The owner was very helpful, & friendly.

The location of accommodation is great to see northern lights.
Because there was not too many lights and closed sea side therefore, you can see the northern lights, if the weather is really clear. :)
And also you can go to vik center by driving for 15 mins.
