The breakfast was basic but good. Initially I had not reserved for breakfast in the hotel, but after the first morning I realised there was no where else to go and have breakfast.

The place was very nice, cozy and clean with a balcony and terrace where you can admire the beautiful views There is also the common kitchen for quests where you can prepare a meal, and have coffee. All was very well-maintained. The landlord was also kind and helpful. We regret that we stayed there just one night.

The old town (istorico) was beautiful, and the reviews of the best “gelata” (iced cream) are well founded. The sea is fabulous but make sure you wear flip flops to beach as they are generally small stones. Also you need to be a good swimmer as currents are strong.
The only public transport seemed to be the excellent main line train service.
Generally the people are very helpful and friendly, particularly if you try to speak Italian.
This was one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL hotels I've stayed in! I would give it 10 stars on a scale of 1 to 5. The property is an old monastery - set up on a hill - over looking the sea. It was AMAZING! So much artwork -and old wood - that had been taken care of. - Wonderful areas to dine outiside overlooking the water. Also - the staff was fantastic! I was met at the train station and taken back there. The restaurant was to die for - the best food I had in Calabria! The chef is amazing!
The hotel has stunning views over Amantea to the coast. The hotel / BB is beautiful and in lovely surroundings. The owners have made an excellent job in presenting the premises at its best. We ate in the restaurant. There was no choice due to a function taking place but the food was excellent. I can see it suitable for a honeymoon couple or someone who requires isolation. Our room was of a good size comfortable and clean. I would have no problems in recommending this property.
Mediterraneo Palace is within walking distance of the Amantea train station, the beach, and downtown shops and restaurants. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. During our stay, the weather was not conducive to swimming or sunning, but the pool and rooftop looked very inviting. The restaurant is more of a banquet hall, but the food was good and they have a nice selection of regional wines. Excellent desserts, too!
Everything. The location was near the historical centre and just a few minutes from the beach. The staff was very polite, nice and helping. They also had left some sweets for us at the arrival.
The rooms were spacious, very clean and with a nice terrace.
The breakfast had a variety of things which were delicious and you could seat outside and relax while having breakfast.
We highly recommend this hotel.
Perfectly situated to explore Amantea on foot and not far from SS18 or the train station. Spacious dining area. Two balconies. Very, very, clean with a well-stocked kitchen and thoughtful extras like big bottles of water and some snacks waiting for us. The owner was FAST with responses, even at 10pm when we struggled with the front gate (jiggling the battery in the remote did the trick.)
Extremely welcoming and caring managers and staff. They go the extra mile to please the guests. Service better than 5 stars hotels.
Room was sparkling clean and kept so throughout the stay. The whole premises are brand new, well kept and with many useful items.
Air conditioning available and well functioning.
everything was perfect. every single staff (and there were many) was so friendly and helpful! the room, the balcony and the view were breathtaking. the food was very delicious and the the breakfast was voluminous and very tasty! definitely perfect value for money. possibly the best place in Amantea! thx!
We arrived and didn’t realize that there was no taxi service to the hotel. When we called the hotel, they arranged for us to be picked up very promptly. They were more than accommodating. If you want to be immersed in the culture and enjoy incredible food, this is the place for you.
Excellent is little for this apartment! everything was perfect, check in, Irene and her welcome, breakfast, the amazing views and of course the rooms! Located in the beautiful old town of Amantea, near to all restaurants
I highly recommend it and for sure we will come back!!
This hotel is fantastic. Wonderful location close enough to the beach to walk and in the heart of the city. We loved going for dinner and then an evening stroll. We loved the breakfast- fresh pastries everyday. The hotel itself is also very clean with friendly staff.
La Perla is off the main road on a quiet back street but close enough to everything Amantea has to offer. The building is lovely and the room was comfortable and well appointed. It is a great base from which to explore the area and we would certainly book it again.
Its quiet location about 1 km from the town, the direct bus service from Cosenza to Lamezia Terme Airport directly across from the hotel. The charming and welcome staff. easy beach access right across the road.
The hotel is directly across the street from the beach. We had a sea view room with terrace. Listening to the sounds of the waves was great. We had dinner both nights in the restaurant - which was very good.
The place is simply beautiful and the staff is outstanding - friendly and helpful. It is about 4 or 5 minutes outside the center of Amantea; serene and beautiful. The ocean view is excellent.
Visitors should be aware that they will have to pay extra to use the pool, beach chairs and also the shuttle for this hotel. There are extra costs that people are not aware of.
Family was very accommodating. This is a hidden gem. Lots of local history. Beautifully restored home. Spectacular views. Relaxing pool. Comfortable beds. Casual breakfast.
