Victoria Resort, hotel in Ascea

Located 750 metres from its private beach, the Victoria Resort is in Ascea in the Ciliento National Park. It offers free Wi-Fi and classically furnished rooms with a flat-screen TV.

September was a quiet time to visit, but some restaurants were already closed for the season. Plenty of great food available including breakfast at hotel. Their bistro closed first week of September and their beach site was not operating, but they offered umbrellas and chaise if we wanted. You can walk to anything and there is a gas station across the street with play area for kiddos.

Hotel Porta Rosa, hotel in Ascea

This modern hotel is located 300 metres from a partner beach in Ascea Marina. It features an outdoor swimming pool, free Wi-Fi, and a convenient free shuttle service.

It is very modern, clean and resonably priced hotel, equipped with everything needed even for longer stay. It stands in the middle of nowhere but is in quite high standard. My room was not that big but there was enough space. However, the shower was large and comfortable. Breakfast was in bufet style, tasty and various – fruits, ham and chease (served to the table), some egg if requested, porrage in different flavours etc. Reception is 24 hours a day and it was important to me as far as I arrived late in the evening. The Staff was very friendly. There is also parking space at the area of the hotel – for about 6-7 cars (better to be reserved though it is not needed). It is good hotel for one transit night as well as base for sightseeing around in Campania, Basilicata, Calabria.

Good Italian breakfast, room size was ideal, a lot of external spaces with chairs and tables to have a meal or simply chill. For a 3 starts I found it great and very comfortable. Also really close to the beach.

    There are many hotels, there.

There are many hotels, there. If you are a history buff, or like UNSECO sites, you would like it. There is not a lot of night life there. It is a small city for relaxing and enjoying the beach. If you have small kids, you might like the little trampoline park or you might like playing the popular game of padle/pickle ball there. The train station is small, but it can take you to many small interesting cities nearby or big cities like Naples less than 2 hours away. Usually the temps in July and August are in the low 90's, however we went when there was a terrible heat wave! So, I can't report on the weather at this time. We did ask people from there and former visitors; they said usually the temp is very pleasant. We liked eating at our hotel or you can walk into Ascea and there are restaurants facing the ocean. The beach was very clean and pleasant to swim in. Chairs if you want them for £20 a day. Local people are very pleasant. Easy to walk around Ascea.

It is a great little town and a wonderful beach.

It is a great little town and a wonderful beach. Very affordable as I went at the end of the season. I did not require much from the staff but they were very accommodating when I did. The shuttle to the train station is great. They did not speak English and I did not speak Italian but all me needs were met regardless.

Lovely hotel. Staff picked us up from the station and took us back even when we had an early train. Breakfast was wonderful, good selection of meat/cheese/lots of pastry. Very close to the beach and quiet in May when we went. Nice pool. Room was light, clean, and was good to be even when raining outside. Very reasonable partner reasturant down the road that was delicious to eat at. We used the bikes which were helpful to get to the other end of ascea.

A real gem in this area! Beautiful hotel, everything decorated with a good taste, all staff extremly proffesional. Rooms are very comfortable, clean. Romantic outside area around the swimming pool, private beach just across the street. The breakfast and the light lunch are served with a big choise, to please everyone’s wishes. I can only recommend this hotel, and hopefully will come back again!
