Aviano is conveniently located near the ski resort of Piancavallo. The town itself is small, but has a large number of restaurants. It is quite pleasant to sit at a cafe' in the main square with a view of the bell tower. In summer there are good hiking trails in the vicinity. We visit Aviano about 4 times/year to see family. We enjoy the Dolomites year round with great sights, hikes, Alpine slide, sledding, canoeing... you name it! We also go south sometimes to Venice, or beaches... there is something for everyone in the area! To include some great vineyards!

It was thoughtfully stocked of everything we’ll need - linens, pillows, soap, laundry detergent and so much more! It’s nestled in a quiet neighborhood with stores and a great church (Aviano baptist church) nearby. Communication with the host was great and fast! Will Definitely book here again. The pictures don’t do justice.
