Piccolo Fiore, hotel in Avio

Piccolo Fiore is located in the city centre of Avio, 2 km from Avio train station and the A22 Highway. It features air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and free private parking.

We got a very friendly welcome on arrival, the room we had was large and had access to a large terrace as well. Efficient air conditioning was appreciated on a very warm day. A supermaket was located only a short walk away, and the town, though small, has a lot of character. We were able to park our bicycles in a garage out of sight of passers-by.

Hotel Querceto Wellness & Spa - Garda Lake Collection, hotel in Avio

Hotel Querceto Wellness & Spa - Garda Lake Collection is set among green hills and oak woods overlooking Malcesine. Relax in the panoramic outdoor swimming pool carved into the natural rocky terrain.

Our week long stay at Hotel Querceto was fantastic. The location is amazing. Away from the town, offering stunning views of Lake Garda and the mountains, and sitting at the centre of the hamlet of Campiano. There is a free shuttle bus each day down to Malcesine at 10:00, and back at 17:30, or you can get a taxi (25euros). There is also the “funivia”/cable car which has a stop about 20 minutes walk from the hotel; though be warned, the road is steep. The hotel facilities were excellent, as was the care, attention and friendliness of all the staff. Breakfasts were sumptuous and we enjoyed making our own fresh juices from the fruit and veg provided. Evening meals too are very good, but if you do fancy a change and something more ‘rustica e autentica’ there is a wonderful Trattoria very close serving local rabbit and homemade pasta. The spa facilities are excellent. You can book private sessions at either the indoor or outdoor spa for up to an hour each day, so you can really pamper yourself. The indoor spa is well-equipped with steam room, 2 x saunas, big whirlpool etc, and the outdoor one has sauna and whirlpool - both with the most incredible views. Emmi - the masseur - is a miracle worker. Her intuitive touch and gentle presence made for wonderful massages. I had a lymphatic drainage one which has been really helpful and she fixed my partner’s shoulder tension, he said he hadn’t felt so comfortable in months; highly recommended! All in all a magical stay in a magical location - grazie mille!

Hotel Baldo, hotel in Avio

Featuring a terrace, Hotel Baldo offers Liberty mountain-style accommodation in Ferrara di Monte Baldo. With ski storage, the property is 10 km from the ski slopes of Novezza.

The hotel is very cosy and our hosts were super friendly. There was the 90th anniversary party of the hotel the evening we stayed there. There was sumptuous buffet with delicious food from Italy and Russia. The breakfast was outstanding the next morning.

It's a small town with a main city square in which You will find the church, city mall and other official building, mostly of the 16th century but of recent renovation. Close to the town You can visit the Castle of Avio (personally didn't have the chance to enter, but it's visible from the road). My main purpose of the visit was to enjoy the mountain area, which offers quite a number of well marked trekking trails.

This little hotel and village was a hidden gem! The owner/hostess Serena was very helpful , (in spite of the language barrier) accommodating, gave us an excellent recommendation to a “pizza”(much more than pizza on the menu) restaurant across the road and prepared a delicious breakfast next door in the am. Our bed and bathroom was comfortable and efficient plus we had an immense patio and balcony off our room.

It is very easy to find and we were made to feel very welcome on arrival. The rooms are quite simply furnished but well looked after, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was served in the adjoining cafe. It included a generous selection of cold meats, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, bread and pastries. Parking is directly in front of the hotel and free. In all, exceptional value.
