Beautiful location, very impressive ‘grand’ building and fantastic overlook of Lago Maggiore. Hotel grounds (gardens, pool) were very well maintained and recently renovated. Very nice terrace overlooking the lake.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Alpi - the staff were friendly and helpful and could not have done enough for you. Our room with an en-suite was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view from our balcony of lake Maggiore.
The food was good, we chose to eat in the hotel as the menu changed daily with a good selection of local dishes. The waitresses were superb and catered for your every need. Breakfasts were continental in style and sustaining. parking at the hotel was extremely convenient.

The location of Baveno was good for exploring the lake and local area.
Plenty to see and the boat trip to the Borromeo islands was well worth it. Local restaurants were good providing local dishes. Good for those who like walking with plenty of interesting places to visit. We travelled by car but there are local buses.

Nice little pitoresque place, relaxing and peaceful.
I miss some bakery that do exist but were closed. Also you can't really buy any souvenirs and not much opportunity to buy local food to take home unless you are buying the ordinary supermarket stuff.

Baveno is a very lovely place for a holiday with an amazing embankment walk.Every day I take a boat to travel to different islands and small towns. There are good restaurants but quite expensive . I saw only one pizza take away .Once we were in pub near Eden Hotel ,the food was horrible.
The public beach is small one but with bar and restaurant. Food was good.
It was too cold to swimming in the lake in the end of May ,so we went to Adventures park. The water in swimming pool was warm and surrounded with views of mountains and lake. But expensive.
I love to recommend Baveno like amazing holiday destinations.

It was fine but very quiet, with boats going to some beautiful places all day.
If you like shopping not the place to go, one small supermarket, small deli pizza take away one small gift shop. Plenty of restaurants offering various foods, not cheap but would expect to pay more when visiting popular areas like this.
Good for walking, cycling or generally chilling out. For more shops etc visit Stressa just a mile down the road.

Beautiful lakeside town, lots of lovely restaurants and bars right on the lake and the beach is not far from the centre. There’s a great beach bar too! Easy to reach the islands and other nearby towns by boat or train which run regularly. On a map it seems easy to walk to Stresa along the lake but I would avoid this as the road has very limited paths at certain points along the way so it’s better to go by car, boat or train.

A very nice resort city on the shores of Lago Maggiore.
A very nice resort city on the shores of Lago Maggiore. An ideal place to pass a couple of hours and have a nice lunch or dinner and a good starting point to discover the southern western shores of the lake including the Borromean islands.
Ideally located on the national road (SS33) and close the the highway (A26).
Lago Maggiore is a magical place - one of the most beautiful I have seen. The Grand Hotel Dino is a classic old hotel with elegance and charm, situated right on the shore of the lake, steps away from the ferry dock. Our room was huge and very comfortable. The town of Bavenno was charming with many trattorias - don't miss the pastry shop across the street from the hotel! Take a ferry to Isola Bella and enjoy a tour of the palace and gardens and if there is time, visit the town of Stresa also easy to get to by ferry. Highly recommend!
Clean and attractive hotel. Comfortable rooms. ( well done to the housekeeping team) Photos indicative of product. Very good breakfast.
Excellent parking (15€/day) Pleasant front of house staff though they lacked any apparent knowledge of local info such as ferry/train info, restaurant tips such as closing times etc. That said, they were very polite ( thanks also to the night security gentleman who let us in when we arrived much later than intended. ) and spoke several languages sufficiently to help out.
It is a fantastically modern setting built within a rustic castle. The apartment has incredible views to the lake and all the modern amenities over two floors. There is a private, protected car park and an elevator to take you to the top. The kitchen was stocked with oils and spices and there was a starter bottle of water and some candy available. There was a washer for clothes with detergent and a washer for dishes with detergent. Baveno was only a short walk away.
The staff all went the extra mile to make sure our stay was exceptional nothing was too much trouble
The hotel was spotless and towels changed every day and rooms serviced
I had a birthday while I was there and came down to Prosecco and flowers on the breakfast table🥳
When we left we were given a bottle of limoncello as a present
Breakfast was lovely and varied and the evening meals were beautiful although we did eat out in the town as well
We enjoyed the apartment's situation in the old town with an arched entrance down narrow streets. Easy walking distance to the lake and not too far from Baveno center. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. Parking was very easy.
Max the owner kindly came to meet us and gave us tips on what to see and where to eat in the nearby towns.
The apartment was clean. Being in an ancient wine cellar, it held up to the hotest days of this summer in Italy.
The view from the room was amazing, overlooking the lake. the staff were very helpful. The food was excellent. my complaints to the chef for the food. one of the best meals on our journey. highly recommend this hotel for its hospitality and of course the morning croissant and fruit
Very classy hotel, the pool is very beautiful and the rooms comfortable and clean. Very good location, we prefered Baveno then Stresa… however, expensive breakfast and parking! Other than that, we recommend it!!
The location is excellent, a quiet side street just off the main street. The decor is very cute and we found everything we needed. A note: during off season it’s hard to reach Baveno with anything but car!
The view is stunning, a small terrace over looking Maggiore Lake.
Great Breakfast.
Large enough parking lot.
Great location if you have a car - 5 min. from Stresa and 2 min from Baveno center,
A beautiful view across the mountain and lake. Charming hotel in a lovely village. Good to get secure, free parking outside the hotel. The church bells nearby were beautiful.
Excellent views from balcony, dining area and yard area. Hotel directly on water. You could swim from hotel. Very good food for dinner and nice breakfast. Free bike use.
Mihaela is so so sweet…the nicest host you could ever ask for. The apartment is clean and cozy. We will definitely book again next time we are in Baveno.
