We loved the history on the walls (literally - WWII history --> present day of the family owning the establishment). Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth, and inviting. We slept great - beds were comfy, and best part - the pillows were not too thick!! The air conditioner in the room kept it a perfect temp at night, and we could turn it off during the day to save energy. The staff did basic housekeeping daily to make beds and provide fresh towels (I would have been just as happy if these services had not been done in order to save laundry, etc. however they were a welcome touch.) The breakfast was just perfect - great options - so thankful for the hard boiled eggs and some fruit for the non-pastry, low-carb crowd. The cappuccinos were perfect and my partner was a huge fan of the pastry and granola/yoghurt selection. We are considering our next time in the region, and highly considering choosing Recco as our home base again! Additionally - we would recommend the restaurant in the first floor of the restaurant - also owned by the same family - seriously - the best calamari dinner I've every had...and their focaccia de Recco is no laughing matter either!! We were thankful that we could make a reservation for our 2nd evening after a very long hike on the peninsula.
Hotel La Giara is 300 metres from the free public beach in the Mulinetti area. Set between Via Aurelia and the Genoa - La Spezia railway, it is about 1 km from the centre of Recco. Parking is free.

The room with the small terrace and the views made the staying quite enjoyable.
No restaurant or bar on site but close to the beach and the village centre. Taxi rank in town if you don't feel like walking on the way back.
Spacious apartment that felt like being at home. Large terrace space, kitchen, lounge and utility room. Located on a hill in Bogliasco which is perfectly located a short train ride from Genova. You can also easily access other coastal towns including Portofino by train from here.
Small but bustling town with several public beach options. Apartment is near to a supermarket and plenty of parking options.
+ The personnel was very helpful, although we arrived shortly before the reception closing time.
+ Very clean accomodation.
+ Marvellous location in the hills above the sea, to be enjoyed during the breakfast on the terrace.
+ Short downhill walk to Bogliasco.
The hotel was along the main road, and so it was easy to find. It's about a ten-minute walk from the town center. We were quite lucky that there was a spot in the hotel parking area.
The hotel staff were quite helpful and accommodating.
A cosy family hotel, with fantastic sea view. Simple, but comfortable room. Very kind and helpful hosts: we had to leave early, but we got a generous packed breakfast with sandwiches, drinks, fruits and sweets.
Excellent location, accross train station. Near center of Bogliasco and all facilities.
Very very nice host from before our arrival until we have left.
