I personally find this hotel very charming. In Italian "Liberty" style (what is called Art Nouveau/Jugendstil/Modernismo in the rest of Europe) the hotel has indeed kept its architectural features and although some people might think it would need some renovation I think it's perfect the way it is. So nice to spot old heaters with incorporated bread oven or the small food elevator in the breakfast room :).
Both the lady and the guy who run the hotel are extremely kind and welcoming.
Room was spot-clean and although weather had started to be quite warm outside I could enjoy a cool room.
I booked a single room with a single bed and the bidet was incorporated in the wc, which was very practical.
I usually have sweet breakfast and was able to find everything I like, especially whole grain baguette. Very fresh, bought every morning from a bakery for sure :).
Location is perfect. You can reach everything on foot from there.
A 20-minute drive from both Montecarlo and Sanremo, Sole Mare is a 3-star seafront hotel in Ventimiglia, renovated in 2020.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. It was an easy walk into town from the hotel.

Hotel Belsoggiorno enjoys a great position on Sanremo’s main promenade, 100 metres from the sea. You can leave your car at a private secured park and walk into town in 5 minutes.

Lovely hotel. Excellent breakfast. Does have a restaurant if you don't want to walk into town. The staff were extremely professional and friendly. Special thanks to Sebastian. A lovely small outside terrace which is always a bonus.

Should be an excellent location for hot summer though a rain track runs between the hotel and the beach. As I stayed in winter, the hotel looked deserted. Nonetheless a receptionist came within 10 mins after my arrival. Heating only with the AC, though apartments in neighbouring buildings have gas heaters. Room has a fridge and surely a coffee machine but no coffee :-) parking outside at the street at spaces reserved for the hotel. They speak different languages including Ukrainian:-)
