It is a spotlessly clean bed and breakfast place with very comfortable rooms and an especially good bed. There is a pool and loungers to sit and relax before or after the sightseeing trips or visit to Etna. The hosts were super accommodating and helpful, and the hostess serves lovely homemade marmalade at a copious breakfast.

Well-connected to the Greek Taormina, the chaotic Naxos, the wild goddess Etna, and enjoy the marvel of the Sicily. The inhabitants of Calatabiano are kind, patient and always available to everyone even if they don't speak Italian. Delicious Sicilian food.

I loved the area- so many singing birds but surprisingly few...
I loved the area- so many singing birds but surprisingly few mosquitos. It was very restful. The restaurant/ pizzeria across from the Castello San Marco hotel gate was SO good; get the monte e mare pasta. Make sure to go tot he new bar at the Castello; the bartender is particularly knowledgeable.

Marco perfectly welcomed us and explained everything upon arrival. Apartment fully refurbished and equipped with all common needs and impressively clean. two bedrooms and two bathrooms, large corner balcony and very good WiFi in all areas. Easy to find and safe parking space. Marco also recommended where we can eat without using our car in the center of Calatabiano which is a nice small town. I loved that I could cook in the kitchen and that I could also use the tomatoes, chillies, etc. from the garden. The hosts were so nice and so friendly, it felt like a warm stay. I loved that it wasn’t all hotel vibes, but it had more of an outdoor feeling. Also loved the garden, the cats and the view of Etna. If you have a car it is a perfect place to stay. There is enough space to parc your car in front of the Hotel and Taormina, Naxos or the Etna are not far away to visit. The breakfast was also really tasty. Many selfmade food for example the applecake, sandwiches or the jelly was made of fruits from the own garden.

Moreover Calatabiano is a good starting point for trips in the east of Sicily. We would definitely recommend spending a holiday in this beautiful place.
