We loved this town, because it’s not touristy & is a real Sicilian small city. Good restaurants, lots to do in the surrounding countryside & very nice accommodation. For those of us with time to explore & wander away from the beaten track, these towns are our reward!

There isn't much to see in Caltanissetta itself but it is a good base for travelling around the area. It isn't touristy so not as busy as place such as Enna and Piazza Armerina. The roads are generally very good (apart from in the towns) so travel is quick and easy.
The place you must not miss is Villa Romana del Casale.

Like most of the towns in Sicily, driving can be hectic.
Like most of the towns in Sicily, driving can be hectic. The old towns are not suited to modern driving, but once you get accustomed to the driving style and familiarity of the city, it's not so bad.
Caltanissetta is well positioned to explore the surrounding rural landscape and a good base to explore surrounding sites and small towns. The city itself is busy and modern and has a mix of historical churches and sites and restaurants. The people are friendly and the vibe seems happy.
A real gem, very welcoming hosts and a great vibe. It is located in the most beautiful part of Sicilia, and we couldn't stop admiring the views, and surrounding of the Villa . A perfect place to see another side of Sicili, less touristy. The room was just what we needed, very clean, and warm even during January. There is a common room, where you can eat, make coffee or tea. Even if we were the only guests in the house, hosts prepared for us an amazing breakfast in the morning. We enjoyed our time in the hotel, and would recommend it.
This is an amazing discovery in the heart of Sicily. The property has been restored with taste and elegance. The owners were so helpful and kind in helping us with our research about the history of the local area. It is the perfect place to chill and wind down for a couple of days and discovered a different part of Sicily. There is also a botanical garden, and it is surrounded by olive and palm trees. Don t miss it.
Posto magnifico, proprietari gentilissimi. Non perdetevelo.
we really like everything. We were on our way to Catania and we decided to stop to rest at any near hotel. Glad we found this beautiful hotel. A very nice lady welcomed us and gave a us a better room than the one we reserved. Room , shower were amazing. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Home made pies , croissants, cold meats, cheeses, dry fruits, yogurts. 10 stars to this amazing little corner
It's at 10-15 minutes of the center, it has the best mountains views in Caltanissetta. If you like a calmly place to rest this is the best! The place has its owns almond and olive plantation so you if you go in the right season you practically have unlimited olive oil and almond. The owners are really kind, they accompanied us to the house and gift us their own wine to taste it and it was really good!
Our hosts, Salvatore and Lucia, were so caring, warm and helpful. It felt like we were staying with family and we were treated so well. Their entire focus was making sure we were comfortable and that everything we needed was taken care of. There are five star hotels changing a lot more that do not come close to the level of personal service we received. We couldn't have been happier!!
The room is very big and clean. The staff was very friendly and help us with everything we needed. There is a public parking just in front of the building.
The breakfast is in a bakery cross the street. You get a coupon for a croissant and a cappuccino but everything is so delicious that you end up eating way way more 🐷. I guess this is kind of expected when you go to Italy
Everithing was just perfect, nice building well keeped, clean, elevator, the apartment is really nice and clean, right in the center, one of the best im my third time in sicily, really cozy, the heating works really good if u like to take a bath tube. the breakfast is in the bar Velo next door. Also good for a nice aperitivo in the evening.
This entire hotel was amazing. The staff were very kind, polite, and hospitable. The restaurant was delicious, all 3 meals were so tasty and creative. We weren't too far from Serradifalco and downtown Caltanissetta which was nice. The room was clean and beautiful, very spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel was easily reached and we were able to park the car a short distance away in a public carpark for a small fee.
The hotel is in an old building and the room itself was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful.
The hosts were very friendly and allowed me to check-in early. Caltanissetta does not have any luggage holding services so checking in early was a big help. The apartment was very clean and the bedroom was quite large - for Italy.
Great location. Clean room. Comfortable amenities— I slept really well under the thick duvet, perfect for a cold night in Caltanissetta. Andrea the proprietor was very friendly and helpful!
Valeria was a fantastic host! The room was nice and clean and the landscape is beautiful. If you are traveling through Sicily it's a great change from the classic seaside locations.
Very clean and fantastic and kind owner very good service and quiet there when I will be there again i will go this hotel back as it was good service in all
