Our stopover in Candela on our way to Puglia turned out to be the highlight of our trip. The night we spent there was truly unforgettable. The villa exuded authenticity, with its charmingly aged structure, high ceilings, and tasteful furnishings. The host's evident pride in the property was palpable, and any minor imperfections were easily overlooked in light of the incredible ambiance. Despite its small size, the town itself offered a delightful surprise in the form of a single restaurant, which served delicious meals at very reasonable prices. Our one-night stay provided a perfect immersion into the Italian way of life.
Featuring a large terrace, A Casa Nostra – Residenza di Charme offers rustic-style accommodation in Candela. A bus that stops 30 metres from the property takes you to Foggia is 30 minutes.

Location is at the train station, the city centre is on a hill. But I chose this with purpose, it fits my style of travelling. Room was good, also bed and pillow. Staff was helpful once I was there.
I plan to go back in a few years' time

Our host at Villa Genny was excellent in his attention to our travel plans. Candela is a good spot to stay in as you explore this interesting area of Puglia: towns such as Venusa, the Grotto of St. Michael Archangel and the area of the 2 lakes.
Town life of hilltop Candela, and its history and people are also inviting.
Beutiful old building in the small but charming town of Candela. Easy to reach and good parking possiblities. The rooms are spacious and have high sealings and beautiful old stone floors. The owner is very welcoming and gave us directions to three different resturants. The breakfast, with bread, yoghurt and pastry was served by the owner who made fresh coffe of our choice. A very nice little hotel in old style.
