Very convenient location, just a few minutes walking from the train station. My room's balcony had a great view to the park in front of the hotel. The price is reasonable. The staff was very acomodating when I informed them I'd check-in late.

Beautiful, so beautiful and quiet. Stunning location together with wonderful host and chef, Fabricio, who also became a friend over our 7 night stay. He did a great job in English despite this being, as he charmingly acknowledges, is his not so good language.
There's a rustic charm that may not be to everyone's taste. For us it was authentic and soulful.

We stayed there only for two nights.
We stayed there only for two nights. We've been skiing in Madesimo and sleeping in Chiavenna. We didn't spend a lot of time there. We went for dinner one night, Ristorante Pizzeria l'Arca - a place to recommend, however, the atmosphere in the evening was shady and most of the buildings looked abandoned.

We were just passing on our way to sankt moritz, and had to stay, because of a heavy rain. We found a last minute offer in Pianazzola, which is a small village above Chiavenna. That place was absolutely stunning. Old stone houses, beautiful views, magical atmosphere. There goes very steap road, which was fun to ride on a motorbike.

A lovely little town which has a lot of mediterranean flair, though it's situated in alpine surroundings. Beautiful old town with nice piazzas and restaurants. Not very touristic, it has still a lot of northern italian authenticity.

Chiavenna is a picturesque town, which was apparently quite prosperous in medieval times, and many of the old buildings are well preserved. The mountain views are gorgeous. Our only regrets were that it rained throughout our day there, and we were unable to stay longer.

Chiavenna is a cute little town.
Chiavenna is a cute little town. There are couple of restaurants, bars and shops to visit. Its around 50min of beautiful twsting road from St.Moritz Swizzerland. Its an ideal place if you want to visit the Swiss side but with out spending a fortune.
The hotel is big, even though a part of the dining hall was not in use, it didn't feel too empty. The room is large for a solo traveler and the view from the standard room is nice (roadside, mountains and river). Room was clean, staff was nice and the food was very good. There's a restaurant in het hotel. As a solo traveler, I liked that the staff gave me plenty of time to do some reading after I fiinished diner, without eyeballing me on leaving. Would go again if passing through.
Scenic location inside the Italian Alps, just like in a fairy tale.
The hotel is an "old school" like the Italian name suggests with amazing decorations and old reminiscences of the past.
Our room was an actual classroom with details about biology. Each room has a different theme.
Due to a misunderstanding we had the staff even offered us a free cappuccino and croissant.
We are returning guests, we were at the hotel 3 years before. The hotel is located in the centrum, all important things are in 5-15minutes far by walk (shop, cafebar, restaurant, etc...).
The staffs are nice and speaks english (nowadays this is a big problem in Italy to understand yourself on other language than italian, crazy...).
Breakfast is good and various.
Breathtaking views of the alps. Delicious and plentiful breakfast. Completely refurbished old school of the small village of Pianazzola. The B&B is an 8-minute drive up the mountain from Chiavenna. The host Andre is very attentive and provides helpful tips. The Skiarea Valchiavenna is a 45-minute drive away. Nice drive through the alps and easy to get to.
Gem of a hotel in a very picturesque alpine town. Amazing views from the bedroom balconies. Plenty to see in the area. Lots of eating and drinking opportunities for the overnight traveler. Very friendly helpful staff. The manager came out and helped me park in the hotel's very tight car park. Very nice Italian breakfast in the hotel's lovely restaurant.
Apartment was excellent and had everything you needed. There was some drink in the fridge for your arrival and there were breakfast items such as cake too. There were even some glutton free bits.
Owner was super nice and met us at the bus stop when we arrived.
Great place to visit chiavenna and if you are going to walk in the area.
I enjoyed the ambience of the Historic Palazzo and our specious room with a private patio from which we could see a beautiful roaming river. The room was very quiet and comfortable. The great advantage was to stay in a historic part of beautiful authentic Italian Chiavenna! Great restraints and boutiques!
We really loved this hotel. The location was perfect as it was near the train station (1 minute by foot), the bed was super comfortable, the employees were very friendly and helpful. This place has a lot of charm and heart, as does the city. We would probably return.
Thé location was ideal, right in the historic center of Chiavenna, close to everything. It was clean, comfortable, super convenient, and we appreciated that it had a parking spot as well. Luca was there when we arrived. It couldn’t have been easier or better.
The location was in the historical centre of Chiavenna, so it was just perfect.
The appartment was very clean and modern with all the utilities we needed.
The host Ylenia was really nice and helpful. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
Very easy communication , super nice and flexible handling of arrival times. Very clean and tidy, all amenities in the room. Nice little espresso bar directly opposite the hotel! Very quiet and beautiful Mountain Views in the morning.
The B&B is located in a very convenient area, 5 minutes by car from Chiavenna. The apartment is ample and very comfortable, with all amenities. The owner is extremely kind and helpful. Super recommended.
Booking.com lists the wrong address. It is not in Chiavenna, but in a neighboring village, Giacomo Filipo. I got lost using this address in the GPS. PLEASE< correct the address.
Hotel new and in the very center of Chiavenna. Modern and clean with a view of the mountains. Personell kind and room very nice. Possibility to park inside the structure.
The hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful and the room was comfortable, nicely furnished and absolutely spotless. It was the perfect base to explore Chiavenna.
That there was a swimming pool and that furniture given were acceptable. We had a joyful vacation in the hotel and it was a pleasure to stay there in hotel aurora.
Everything.
The location, the staff, the size of the apartment. It's clean, with all the utensils you need.
