The hotel is newly renovated and is clean and welcoming. The hotel is close to two piazzas with great restaurants and walking distance from train station, sea, supermarkets and shops. There is a little lift of stairs are an issue. Rooms are cool and very clean. Staff were exceptional. We were given a welcome drink on arrival and had a lovely breakfast and coffee in the morning. The hotel has its own shuttle to take guests to the cruise terminal at just ten euros per person. With luggage to carry it was worth the easy air conditioned trip right to the terminal entry! Highly highly recommended!!
Surrounded by the vegetation of Punta del Pecoraro, the Sunbay Park Hotel is 1 km from the Porto Riva di Traiano Marina, is 60 km from Rome's GRA ring road.

Ideal location but we were told 10:30 the latest for shuttle to cruise in port. It was 1145.
Rug in lobby needs cleaning.

Would come back to vacation with you. Lovely area.
Beautiful and quiet town. Everything within walking distance. Favorite place for quick bite was Mastro Titta Pizza within two blocks of Airbnb.
I would recommend staying longer as there is much to do it Civitavecchia. We missed walking along the Harbor, visiting Fort Michaelangelo, and the beaches.
We read about direct Shuttles to the Airport, none were available the day we left because no cruise ships were arriving in Port. Car Service was expensive. We ended up taking the Train, which was not as convenient but not bad at all and at a fraction of the cost!

Of note: there was No Kleenex, NO WiFi password, no shampoo or soap for shower and NOI place in the shower to put such except on the floor, NOT enough signage to locate the building, room, door. NO USB ports, there was an ice bucket, but NO ice, NO towel racks or shelves in the bathroom, NO air conditioning.

The hotel is an outstanding location for pre-cruise travellers as the location is just a few steps away from Largo della Pace where cruisers pick up the free shuttle to the cruise terminal. Just roll your luggages along the sidewalk then across the street onto the ramp towards area where the shuttle awaits.

Small city. Older buildings and infrastructure.
Small city. Older buildings and infrastructure. Uneven paved sidewalks, some graffiti but seemed very safe. Just an older Italian town that’s packed fairly tight. Lots of dining options, but hours are different from what Americans are used to.

We did not stay long enough to get to know it well enough...
We did not stay long enough to get to know it well enough but what I saw was great. I would advise anyone travelling to a hotel in town and coming off the Barcelona ferry not to use the Sat Nav until well into the centre. It is likely to take you through the port to a controlled gate which you will not be allowed to pass and you will be sent back. Just follow signs to the centre then switch on Sat Nav when well clear of the port.
We were taking a cruise the next morning, If we knew that this hotel was in such a great location we would of got there earlier. a 5 minute walk from the train station, Civitavecchia is a nice little town with lots of things to do. As for the hotel it exceeded our expectations. Very clean hotel with very comfortable beds, a good breakfast with a good selection and an extremally courteous staff. Why waste time in Rome when there is a great hotel near the cruise port and a good selection of restaurants and a nice walk by the sea!!
The hotel was exceptionally clean and the bed was so comfortable but my absolute favorite part was our host Marco! He was always available to help with plans, even inviting us to a private party he held in his restaurant. He and his sweet friend, Pia, prepared and served the most wonderful 4 course meal! We only spent 2 nights there but when we left it felt like we were leaving family! I would recommend B&B HomEitaly to anyone visiting Civitavecchia. Thank you Marco and Pia for a wonderful stay. ❤
The hosts Maira and her husband was by far the most accommodating host we had throughout 6 stays in Italy. She communicated very well with us and made sure we had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. She went beyond her hostess role and was also like a guide - gave us recommendations for food, beach and grocery, all of which were excellent recommendations. She ensured the room was clean and offered to change towels and tidy apartment even though we had a short stay.
The Hotel Porto Di Roma has been reovated to an exceptional standard. The room was clean and modern with all the expected amenities. Tne included buffet breakfast was well presented, very nice and very adequate. The staff were helpful and were fluent in English. It's location in Civitavecchia is convenient for those wanting a stay somewhere prior or after a cruise that is more relaxed than Rome. The hotel provided a transfer to the cruise terminal for a very reasonable charge.
The B/B was very cute, location to resturants was excellent, we were there for only 1 night, due to going on a cruise the next day, port 2.5 blocks away, very convenient. Kitchen equipped with ham, cheese, pasteries cereal, juice, coffee and snacks. Person in charge of check in, was very nice and helpful, with information on transportation options from Rome to Civitavecchia, before our travel to Rome. All in all excelente experience. Would recommend to friends. 😊
Since I took so long to review this room, I don't remember a lot of details. It was our first night in Italy from the U.S. and we were very tired. This was the night before taking a cruise from this port.
I can say that we were very happy with the accommodations. I remember how pleasantly surprised I was because the bed was so comfortable, and I'm very picky about that. Everything was clean and comfortable I would highly recommend this apartment.
We had to change our hotel at the last minute thanks to BA cancelling our original flight. Lupen 3 was the only option available in Civitavecchia due to our late check in.
The room and clean and comfortable and we were just happy to have a bed. Initially we were slightly concerned on arrival as nobody was around. All credit with in 5 mins of a phone call we were let in.
Central location. Many good restaurants and shopping within a block. The terrace was large, with potted flowers. Accommodations beautiful and very comfortable bedding. Enjoyed having a kettle with tea provided. Breakfast really nice. Friendly staff. I will book Lifestyle and Suites on my next visit to Civitavecchia.
The location is perfect if you are going on cruise out of Italy. everything in this hotel was brand new it was just remodeled the owner was great you can walk to the port from this location but if you have quite a bit of luggage the owner will call and have a cab pick you up at the door I highly recommend this hotel
Very clean, spacious room with good airconditioning. Owners were extremely professional and friendly. Our previously reserved shuttle from Rome airport to Civitavecchia was cancelled at the last minute but the owner rescued us at the last minute and collected us at the airport for a very reasonable rate.
Very good place to stay. The room was clean and close to the center but in calm area. We loved the garden and our dog can use it without problem. The owner was also kind. Best dog friendly place where we stay ever. Rome just 1 hour from there by car and Toscana region close too.
We especially enjoyed the warm welcome by "Pupa" the dog. The laundry machine and ample drying racks were also a plus since we were preparing for a 14 day cruise. The decision for staying was based on parking as it is a BIG challenge to find parking in Civitavecchia.
Anna and her staff were very friendly and helpful. This was our first trip to Italy and my entire family felt welcome and comfortable. The food and coffee were fantastic. Anna kindly arranged for ground transportation from FCO and to the cruise terminal.
Spotless and convenient accommodation for my last-minute booking. Close to the train, I could get to Rome easily. Quiet street but close to bars and restaurants, and a short walk to the marina and the city centre of Civitavecchia.
Very nice small hotel in the heart of Old Town. Close to everything. Right next door to a bar/cafe and a pizza restaurant. Anna was super helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
Nothing. We would have go to a hotel but there was no availability due to our transatlantic cruise the next day, Civitavecchia was very busy and all hotels were full.
