Mercure Leonardo da Vinci Rome Airport, hotel in Fiumicino

Just 5 minutes' drive from Fiumicino Airport, Leonardo Da Vinci Rome Airport Hotel offers free WiFi throughout, on-site parking, a summer outdoor pool and a padel court.

The hotel was close to the airport with a shuttle. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean, of a good size, with comfortable bed and good linen, a good supply of hot water and a decent sized shower. The service in the dining room was good, as was the food - mostly home made. Some of the decor and fittings were not of the most modern but it was all perfectly satisfactory and excellent value for money.

Hotel Isola Sacra Rome Airport, hotel in Fiumicino

Hotel Isola Sacra Rome Airport is a large property with a garden and a summer outdoor pool, and free WiFi throughout.

I have stayed here a few times on the night before flying out of Rome’s Fiumicino airport. Great location for that, reliable shuttle service, comfortable lobby area, friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast is excellent, which is important to me so I can start a journey with decent energy.

We had a great stay at the hotel! We were there only for 1 night for an early flight and it was nice. We chose the hotel specially for being close to the airport and for the free 24h shuttle service (every 15 minutes). It was easy to get from the airport and back. The beds were comfortable, shower was good, and the rooms were clean. I would recommend it!

I enjoyed being a short walk to the beach. The front desk staff helped me with a referral for a restaurant which was open in spite of it being Easter. They also booked a taxi for me for my early ride to the airport. The little courtyard area is very pretty.

FAQs about hotels in Fiumicino

Between the Sea and Eternity

Fiumicino is best known for its access to the Eternal City through Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport. Despite this recent claim to fame, Fiumicino includes several archaeological sites around the ancient harbors of Ostia and Portus. It's also an important fishing center and summer resort, especially along the beaches and coves of Isola Sacra.

Hosting the busiest airport in Italy and the sixth busiest in Europe, the town has grown in a series of services that fit with these suburban functions. Examples are the Fiera di Roma conference center, or the Parco Leonardo recreation center.

The town of Fiumicino is 20 miles from central Rome, while Da Vinci Airport is 19 miles away from the Italian capital. The remains of Ostia Antica are less than 6 miles away.

Like many airports in the world, you can find hotels in Fiumicino Airport directly on its premises, providing effortless access to your flights.

Since most Fiumicino hotels are in the Isola Sacra area, you might get the chance to enjoy the Tyrrhenian beaches and the tasty Italian seafood.

Fiumicino is a charming and real town without the trappings of tourism. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops that seem to cater to more locals than tourists. It was fun to wander about and soak up the atmosphere of this real fishing town.

The location close to the airport was good for us and the time that we had available. The port was a short walk away and had good restaurants and a nice vibe. The breakfast was OK, simple and adequate for us. It would have been improved if we had access to more than just a kettle and coffee machine as we got a takeaway pizza and had no plates. Would suggest that other travellers eat at the pizza shop itself.

We often choose to stay in Fiumicino as a staging area either upon arrival or departure from Roma (FCO airport). It has a sort of edgy border town vibe to it that makes it feel more authentic. It has a nice promenade along the mouth of the river with many cafes, bars, & restaurants; you can fall into a bad tourist place or find a nice authentic trattoria, and also some very posh establishments; most featuring local fish. It is close to the airport so it's convenient and the prices for a room are lower than going into Rome proper.

Not an airport hotel.. Arrived by taxi late as shuttle had finished for the night. I thought the price of my room was great value Until… I added my taxi ride from the airport €30 then the following day shuttle back to the airport €10 I should have stayed at the 4star option beside the airport as it would have been less expensive

It reminds me of the beautiful city of Trieste on north-east Italian coast. Walking to the sea while seeing la bella porta. There were many restaurants in Fiumicino. Many of them sea-based. You will find good priced napoletana pizaa and some more interesting italian restuarants. I will come to visit this beautiful city again. instead of just bella roma

We chose this hotel because it was only 4km from Fiumicino Airport. The staff were lovely and we had a good breakfast. It's very close to the ocean and lots of restaurants. We took a very overpriced taxi to the hotel and the driver insisted she could only take cash, but came to the party when I only offered a credit card. The hotel has their own shuttle service to the airport for 26 euros which was 10 euros less than we paid for the taxi. I would stay here again.

Just a short walk from Terminal 1, easy to reach on foot. Check-in was fast and easy. Beds are big and comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel: there is a nice selection of dishes typical from Rome (we had a cacio e pepe and a gricia), a bit on the pricey side. However it is to be expected. All in all a great choice if you have to stay overnight at the airport of Fiumicino.

The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. We stayed in the hotel because we needed to catch a flight in Fiumicino Airport the next day. The room was very clean. Something that doesn't happen enough at hotels is putting enough towels for the amount of guests present. This was not the case, I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent location near the airport and the facilities are great.

I have traveled most of the world and stayed in many hotels and resorts. This hotel far exceeds most if not all for me.
