Alba Sarda ia a big lie about everything. The front gate was not closing without being actually locked.Iglesias is nice but that property asked us 500 Q for 7 nights ! I wouldn't pay more than 300 !
When I asked about parking she sent me a voice message on Whatsapp in a very slang italian so I can't understand!
Because they haven't got any parking;what a shame!

Iglesias is underrated but is the perfect starting point to visit the beautiful surrounding coast, hike the Santa Barbara walk, visit geologically remarkable caves, and interesting old mining sites.
During the Holy week preceding Easter (actually Tuesday to Tuesday) you will be able to admire the big Easter processions and century old rituals. Highly recommended

The city of Iglesias is the right place to be in September.
The city of Iglesias is the right place to be in September. It is still quite warm and one can not only wonder around the old town but also to have some hiking experience. It is quite close to the sea - you can rent an e-bile in Gonnesa and go more smoothly to the seaside. I highly recommend this city.

Iglesias itself was a surprise.
Iglesias itself was a surprise. The downtown was bustling, music concert going on in the evening, lots of people, some good shopping, excellent restaurants, and lots to see. Around Iglesias are some stunning beaches like Cala Domestica and the road going north along the coast is incredibly beautiful. So far, Costa Verde is one of my favourite areas.

Very good osteria.
Very good osteria. Osteria Tastaddu had great locally sourced food, Historical centre many churches. Good bus routes (buy tickets on dropbox app and see times on Arst orario app) to Nebia and Masua (best for beaches). Also to carbonia, Casetta on St anticio island and to Portovesme (for Carloforte ferry) and Portoscuso, I hired a car ione weekend and went to the Antras Temple; mote SIrai but msaybe best site was the Nuraghe Serucci which in fact os a complete nuraghic village. The Mining museum in Iglesias is worth a visit and the guided tour useful. The market is excellent for local cheese, fish and meat. Easy train ride from Elmas airport (change in Villamassargia). Be aware for many Italian is a second language after Sardinian and not many people speak foreign languages here.

We visited during New Year's week, a lot of attractions and restaurants were closed due to low season. We only saw a handful of other tourists in town.
That said, the restaurants that were open were cozy and good value.
Giulio is the most wonderful and kind host, we have ever met in Sardinia, he was all the time eager to help, responsive, helping us a lot, during our stay in his charming apartment. If you want to experience the real sardinian life, spiced up with some extra kind hospitality, choose this place! The apartment is very well equipped with all necesary things you might need, the whole neighbourhood is quite peaceful, original, and charming. Grazie mille, we will never forget your kind hospitality.....mio caro amico!
Il Paradiso is well located from where you can very well explore the region of Iglesias. Francesca prepared many informations and flyers about nearby beaches, caves and interesting places to visit. You can also spend whole day on the pool and simply chill. Francesca is exzeptionell cook and we enjoyed her dinner creations each time. The rooms are fresh renovated and with air conditioning. We will definitely come back!
Travel restrictions in Italy have been eased just a week ago.
We were traveling arround Sardinia without specific plan and I've booked accomodation just few hours previous to our arrival. At the end we were the only guests on the estate.
The host was exceptional firendly, prepared everything accortding to our requirements, prepared fire for grill, offered full a'la carte dinner menu.... and dinner was very good.
EOS is brilliantly situated to explore the town, is quiet and has great facilities. The private secure parking was a real plus right in the centre of town. Communication was good on the day and Valentina was very friendly and helpful, but acknowledgement of receipt of earlier messages would have been appreciated. Definitely a great place to stay in Iglesias, especially during Easter with all the brilliant parades.
Very clean, comfortable room in the centre of Iglesias. Check-in was a little tricky, and there is no parking. However, there is street parking behind the building that is inexpensive with an attendant to collect cash and issue a ticket and we always found a spot. Parking is free outside of peak hours. A very good breakfast is offered at a restaurant nearby run by the same people who run the B&B.
Everything was perfect about this apartment: new, spotless, very well located, sunny, extremely well equipped. The hosts have been superhelpful and kind even before we arrived. It is a perfect starting point to visit Iglesias and, during the Easter week, it even allows to watch the processions from the balcony.
Great value for money.
This accommodation is the best one we have stayed in while on holiday. The environment is so peaceful and everything is looked after. Francesco was always helpful and accommodated all of our requests, and everyone made us feel welcomed. The location is only 10 mins away by car from the centre of Iglesias.
An excelant choice if you decide to stay a few days at Iglesias. The appartment was very clean, bright, cosy and very central. Eventhough central, yet very calm in this period we stayed in. The owner was extra kind and willing to provide all usuful information we needed.
One of the best places we have stayed at thus far -- and we have stayed at many. Spacious room and private bath room (both very tastefully decorated), shared lounge, great breakfast in the garden - very welcoming and accommodating host. Great location downtown Iglesias.
The location was great, easy to get around the old town by walk. And by car with a quick driver you arrive to some stunning beaches. The receptionist was super friendly and explained well about the facilities and hotel. We really enjoyed our time there!
Nice typical sardinian home, with soul and personality, very close to the charming center of Iglesias. The house is very well equiped with all necessary for a perfect stay. Owners are very kind and helpfull. We spent excelent days here.
Great place to stay at Iglesias and to explore the area. Very nice and helpful host, gave a lot of recommendations to explore Iglesiente and on restaurants. Breakfast is good, easy check-in. Also a good value in November 😀
You would feel like being in the chateau or museum gallery full of pictures and ancient furnishings. Owners really care about guests (cleaningness, kindness, ...). Their hotel has unique style. Thanks
Great breakfast to start the day. Amazing views from the balcony. Quiet surroundings, comfortable beds. This hotel is great choice and value for money for a simple short stay.
Delicious breakfasts.
We had dinner at the hotel once. The meal was good and the staff was great. We had to wait a bit (too long for the children) for the dessert.
Our room was very spacious and pleasant. Bed was comfortable.
Extremely pleasant and helpful staff
Free shaded parking in front of the hotel was a plus.
Quick response from the owner. Apartment had everything you need for the stay. Location in the center of Iglesias which makes it easy to travel around.
